removed from Concerns About Surviv Business and Misleading Lead Tlme

For what it's worth, Guy Seiferd (sole owner of Survive Knives) went though Chapter 7 bankruptcy back in 2005:

He also appears to have pleaded guilty to burglary back in 1999 in Adams County, PA (I have the case number if anyone wants it). Not that either of these things directly implicates Survive Knives in the context of the current controversy, but it at least gives you some idea of the person we're dealing with.

If the CH 7 BK was indeed discharged in 2005, he will qualify (edit: and he's well within his rights if he must) to file for another BK protection under the 10 year rule and the statutes of limitation. As to whether this info was necessary or not plus the other nugget of info provided, is one of the main reasons as to why I normally avoid this dark side of BF!

Great, a strider wannabe.

Hadn't thought about that. I could figure it out in short order and I am sure their suppliers wouldn't mind getting paid but until someone invents more than 24 hours in a day I'm afraid they would stay blanks for quite some time. Aint nobody got time for no second job.

If someone has the dough and wants to step in, the Trustee will be open to certain ideas.

Hey Skyler, I have a feeling that you're itching to "make" knives! ;)

The refund issue is far more serious at this point in time then the inaccurate delivery dates. Customers provided funds in “good faith” based upon the information provided by Survive. Anyone has the right to request a refund. It is one thing to fail to meet a delivery date, quite another to hold on to a customer’s money after a refund was requested. Failure to supply a timely refund will create far greater issues if these refunds are not issued in a judicious manner and customers are forced to seek out help from outside agencies (such as the state attorney general) to help facilitate the recovery of their payments.

Hopefully Survive will make it a priority to get any requested refunds out as quickly as possible and get to focusing on producing the quality knives we expected from them when we placed our trusts and resources in them.

Well... I just received the refund that I requested 42 days ago yesterday. The check was shipped from Spokane Washington from a law firm that handles Financial litigations. It didnt come from survive knives. that to me sounds like they're in big trouble. I strongly urge anyone on this forum including moderators or let's say Silver Needle to contact survive knives and have a representative for their company come here and explain to their customers what's going on. it's definitely got me scratching my head.

You asked for a refund by check on November 2nd. I sent you check #1113 from the SURVIVE! LLC Wells Fargo Checking account on November 8th. Since you have openly admitted in the other thread that you are actively trying to "sink the company" I would hope most people would see that you are either exaggerating or outright lying in order to meet your agenda. This includes the false claims you have been making in the email that you have been sending out.

I don't have time to go through this whole thread right now (I would much rather be issuing shipping notifications) but will be sure to do so this evening.

For the record, first alchemy calling me "fan boy" is not only stupid but it's also completely wrong. I've never owned knives from the company he was railing against and I probably never will. I've never defended the company in any way.

No fear — we do see.

All other (legit) concerns aside, I don't think any/many around here took First Alchemy too seriously, given his wild claims and histrionics.

Also, mercifully, First Alchemy was banned by Morrow. So hopefully we've seen the last of his antics.

If first alchemy has come on here and slandered this company with lies I hope they file a lawsuit against him . Obviously they know who he is.

This is just epic STUPID..
No one gives Two Flying Figs about some banned troll's unfounded claims against Survive which NO one took serious to begin with. It's an utterly absurd distraction that a Straw Man Troll is getting all the attention with so many legitimate concerns and questions on the table left unanswered.

Ellie, put a stop to this nonsense. There are about half a dozen CURRENT requests for refunds that have not been fulfilled for several weeks time. THAT IS WHAT is being asked, not about some pathetic troll that BF kicked out. The implications of not honoring refunds while continuing to take in money are very serious. Fair, or unfair, founded or unfounded, the concerns are out there and something you should care about and address. You never said you would NOT honor those refunds so those concerns need to be put to rest. Just let us know for everyone's sake.

Thank you for the update! That is great news and a great sign. Still waiting on mine but great to hear on yours.

I have attempted to buy 2 knives from Survive! going into each one knowing there would a wait, and not a short one. Each time something came up. The first was a need to help family and the second my lawn mower decided to die. Each time I contacted Survive! seeking a refund. Each time my refund was returned in full by the next day.

I would not hesitate to buy from Survive! and could honestly careless about the post here. Each time they were polite, honest, and communicated better than I expected.

Im not a Survive! groupy and dont think I have even posted in their subforum. Just thought I would share my positive experience in dealing with them.

I'm STILL in for my pre-paid GSO-10...no refund requested...

I have the patience of Job, but not the life-span of Methuselah to wait it out. ;)

So Ellie, thanks for checking in and what's a reasonable lead out on the GSO-10's?

I realize you guys "have the steel," that I know already from the newsletter & website.

Wait, so....

You have time to read the other 50 page thread but not respond?

You have time to read a 50 page thread but no time to issue refunds to your customers in a timely manner?

How is someone sending an email of false claims and to who? Do they have access to some secret Survive! buyers email list?

You and the absentee owner don't have time to respond to the numerous allegations levied against your company but you have time to take in additional pre orders while others are still sitting unfulfilled?

Oh that's right, were supposed to be distracted by the busy printing shipping labels routine.

Survive makes great knives. Survive as a business though is an absolute joke. One of you should take a course or two on business. Maybe you will find the time to address your customers when the Idaho Attorney General suspends or revokes your business license for deceptive business practices and issues a stop work order to Survive.

For what it's worth, I cancelled my GSO 2.7 as I felt that I really have no need for a short blade. It did take a few days for me to get my refund but I did receive it via PayPal.

I got an email from Jordyn yesterday-

I apologize for the delay in issuing your refund. Ellie has been out of the office and in the workshop working on shipping labels and packing up orders lately. We appreciate your patience with us, and we will be issuing your refund as soon as possible.

Thank you,
Jordyn

Why is it that the troll known as First Alchemy got his refund issued in only 5 business days and yet here I am at 8 business days with nothing more than another vague timeline as to when my refund will be issued?

SMDH

ETA: DJC72 received his refund in 5 days! Where is my refund, Survive!?

Dude, can't you read? SHIPPING LABELS! That's taking every second, Ellie's busy hitting print-print-print so she doesn't have time to log-in to Paypal, and click "Issue a Refund". Wait your turn, she's busy. Their Instagram says so. SHIPPING LABELS.

LOL

Well, this is too much.

I've purchased a few knives from S! in the past and while I've since sold them all off, I was perfectly happy with even the very early versions with the heavy stonewash finish (I actually preferred those).

That all being said, I have one knife on order from them and I've sent a refund request. Hopefully it is handled in short order. I've tried to ignore the swirling rumor mill, but it does appear that the company is indeed more than just a tad "in over their head." Like many others, I'm not trying to see my money sink with the company.

I will say - the prior bankruptcy claim and especially the burglary conviction have left a bad taste in my mouth. I won't financially support someone who would commit such a crime.
