RICKYHAWK: Took 36 days!! to receive the knife... with help from Good/Bad/Ugly Thread

I don't know who Tomohawk6442 is, and I don't know what knife he is talking about. First he's buying from me and then I'm buying from him? Point is JILLJACKSON, I did not sell any knives after these.

OK, I apologize for jumping to conclusions about it all and being upset about what I thought was you ripping off forum members I've dealt with before and consider to be trading buddies and I hope you can get this all straightened out.

Let's stay on topic to see the tracking numbers check out and the knives show up. The rest of you, back off.

RICKYHAWK, don't go playing victim here, with no better data to go on, suspicions were justified. Watch your language. I don't care how insulted you feel, I will not tolerate the vulgarity.

I can't keep apologizing, I can only ask you guys to forgive me. I'm sorry for this mess and wish I had not allowed it to happen. Not trying to make excuses, but for the record, my Uncle and Aunt did die within a week of each other and my wife did take my 2 boys and left home. I did not make this up. I am making thinks right, please forgive me--Ricky

Ricky,
I'm not here to ridicule or smear your name. I thought you were a pretty good guy at first . But you did make up alot of excuses when we were trading and my knives took a long time to show up after I sent mine out immediately. the knife I was referring to was the Marbles Ideal with engraved sterling silver handle. I told you I wanted that knife back and you sold it on Ebay. Tom

Yea make it right...do it.... do it......do it......... do it.................................. do it....... do it....... do it.

Tom,
I didn't know you because we met through ebay, not on here. I'm the one that bought a bunch of knives from you and you really needed the money at the time. Can you please let me know what knives you bought from me? I remember buying about 6 switchblades and the marbles from you but don't remember you buying anything off of me.

Gentlemen. Read my previous post, quoted here, and match your posts against it. Do you understand? No more casual chatter, no more opinions from people who are not directly involved.

Let's stay on topic to see the tracking numbers check out and the knives show up. The rest of you, back off.

Okay, you say you're going to make it right. Now do it.

Yea make it right...do it.... do it......do it......... do it.................................. do it....... do it....... do it.

Sh*t. Just found this thread after being directed here from a fellow forumite. My timeline:

June 3: sent ~$650 via paypal for a batch of knives.

June 15: hadn't shipped yet, so I asked him to temporarily hold off due to the Canadian postal strike at the time.

June 30: strike ends, I give Ricky the ok to ship

July 2: Ricky replies apologizing for delay due to a car accident in the family.

July 10-19: repeated emails sent to Ricky asking for shipping status - no reply.

July 20: open paypal claim; Ricky replies within MINUTES. Calls me, convinces me to close paypal claim.

Aug 5:Called Ricky, he picks up, tells me the knives had shipped "on Wednesday", and will email me the tracking info shortly.

Aug 6-24: no further contact from Ricky via email/phone

Aug 25: Ricky emails, says he had the knives ready to ship in his car(told me he had shipped 3 weeks ago!). I gave him the benefit of the doubt in case I had heard him wrong on the 5th. Assures me he will send "by 4PM" the next day.

Present: No contact since.

Well, this post is pretty bad and it's gone on a long time, plus RICKYHAWK even said the knives were mailed, then they were not. And they were delayed because of a another tragic event. So, yeah I tended to be seriously doubting at this point, but if he makes it ALL right, I say great give him the chance.

Nobody wants to read my posts? OK, I close the thread.

I'll be back later to decide how to handle the chatter.

So, today I get this email:

Your signature confirmation / tracking number is 2305 1590 0001 2896 8504 I live in a small town, it could take a short time to show in the usps system. I would never scam anyone and I'm sorry I gave you that impression---Ricky

So this evening, I try the USPS site with above tracking number and get this:

Your item was accepted at 3:02 pm on September 06, 2011 in RIMERSBURG, PA 16248. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

I've received empty boxes before. I'll believe it when it's in my hands. My instructions to RickyHawky were to send it "next day", else I begin my actions against him. We'll see, soon enough...

The RickyHawky Soap Box continues at a BF channel near you...

Tracking number shows my package passed through Penn. Hopefully the others are making progress. What we have here is a failure to communicate and follow through. plain and simple. Sh*t happens in people's lives and some can handle it better than others. Honestly, I will be elated if I receive that Emerson. I pretty much wrote it off to experience. In the end if I receive my knife I will put it away to give to the next brave soul in my town that is getting deployed and tell Ricky thanks for getting it to me.

Rob, any idea what this means? just checked your tracking number and this is what it says. I'm sure I have the right address, I just looked and your zip is 77009---Rick

Your item was forwarded to a different address at 9:43 am on September 08, 2011 in HOUSTON, TX 77009. This was because of forwarding instructions or because the address or ZIP Code on the label was incorrect. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

Just updating the thread now:

Sept 6th: Ricky emailed and called on apologizing and promising to ship the knives by Thursday & contact me with tracking info.

Sept 8th: 10 minutes ago, I recieved a call from Ricky with tracking info, as per his word on Tuesday.

Thank you Ricky! I will continue to keep this thread updated of our progress.

Kenny

Just got an update from the bunker and the package arrived from Ricky! Regardless of the detours it took to get here I'm glad it finally got here, not just for me, but glad Ricky was able to follow through. Not sure what jolt it took to get him going but whatever did it is a step in the right direction. Thank you Ricky. I hope the unraveling in your life gets back on track and you can find peace brother. T.
