Ritter MK1 in CPM M4

Bummer. Aeromedix got them in today.

I think I canceled back in late January though to be honest I cant remember and I deleted the email.

I felt the knife is a little pricey all things considered and I definitely dont need another folder. It had nothing to do with delivery dates, and if I had really wanted the knife I would have kept my order.

I got an order in - woohoo!

Plan to put some custom scales on this one. Either jade green G-10 or CF. Not sure which yet. :D

Anybody's order status still say backordered? I ordered pretty late and I'm scared they were all sold out.

I didn't order mine till March, so we'll see. I would assume that it would just not allow you to pre-order if they were all taken. That would be the professional way to approach the transaction.

I'm an ass. I broke down and called and they're not sold out of either size yet. Now I kinda want to add a mini to my order too.

Toooo funny! :D Don't worry you're not an ass . I keep thinking about picking up a S30V model myself. Feels weird to me that my first and only Ritter is gonna be CPM4. Despite the fact that I have plenty of other grips. I have issues.

It's amazing that this knife is not sold out. I got mine today. The overall design is excellent. The coated finish is the best I've seen, and I usually don't generally like any coating. This one is smooth and hard. OK, the plastic scales are underwhelming. But M4 steel in a thin blade is a little north of awesome. I just ordered a second, and I don't usually do that.

I've been looking forward to getting this M4 Ritter Grip so I could change blades with my gold class M4 Grip. I really like the feel of the textured carbon fiber scales. This one is going to make a nice work knife.

You da man! That looks even better than I thought it would- how hard is it for someone who's never had an Axis lock apart? Also- I hear BM will void the warranty if you take one of their knives apart- will they be able to tell? (Assuming you replace the original blade)

a) not very hard. you don't need to take the entire knife apart to switch blades.
b) usually the warranty is void when you send them a zip-lock full of parts ;)

I ordered a Gold Class grip to do the very same thing. Now all I have to do is wait for my Ritters to clear the border :/

It looks awesome though!

grybsh7, you beat me to the punch!

A pair of #4 M4 Ritters will be here tomorrow.

My CF Grip has been waiting forever for its new blade!

Great job, looks exactly like I had hoped it would!

The stonewash is a bit light though. Am used to Microtech's version of Black stonewash.

Later...........
