Ritter MK1 in CPM M4

#183 arrived in the mail today. Maybe some day I'll save enough money to get some Wilkins Grips. Til then, this'll have to do.

Just got #173. Not sure if I'm ready to take it to work tomorrow though. Just wanna stare for now. Still thinking about what I'm gonna do about the scales too. May just leave as is.

I received my matching numbered knives today #87!!
They are sweet! Quality on mine is top notch. I have yet to see a pic that does this blade finish justice. In PG5768 Pic there is a hint of what the finish really looks like in person. It's almost like an even coated patina with a slight iridescence to it. I think it looks rich and durable, very nice. A much improved finish, in comparison to the M2 models. I like the black liners too. That's another thing the M2 models didn't have. All in all I am very pleased. I do hope everything works out for those that are waiting for theirs. Congratulations to you Benchmade & you Mr. Ritter for once again producing another great knife, I know will enjoy mine. Thanks!

Man that blade finish is just sick. Here's to hoping we see more of it in the future.

Knife is super nice, blade didn't come very sharp, but that can be fixed. Now if I can only bring myself to use my 1 of 250 ever made knife...

After looking at the liners in the knife i seen they were not that bad at all. i thought they were smaller but i was misinformed. ordered mine tonight :)

My Mini came yesterday- liked it so much I ordered the regular today- I can't believe they haven't sold out. I wish I had the $$ to get more than one.

The regular is a little more than half the price I paid for my Gold class M4 Grip, and I think I like the blade better. I'll probably swap the blades. The interesting thing is that the finish on the DLC on the Ritters matches the hardware on the Gold class better and the finish on the Gold class matches the hardware on the Ritter. I am definitely well taken care of on folders now!

Mine came sharp, but the clip is a bit rough- anyone else? Anyone know whether I go to BM or Doug for a replacement?

Both mine are sharp, but I have that one slightly deeper line in the blade grind of the large.

I receive mine a few days ago and yes the coating on the blade is very nicely done -- a touch of auric tone to it. I would say the coating is the best so far I've seen on Benchmade knives.

Still can't decide what to do about scales. How many of you guys are gonna leave your knife as is? I'm actually considering it. Then again...number 73 of the carbon fiber grips is for sale at a knife shop right up the street from my house and swapping handles with that is very tempting. Oh and then there is the SICK (awesome) Wilkins pics you all keep posting...I'm torn! It doesn't look like I could get wilkins scales at the moment anyway ...but it might be worth the wait and a lot cheaper than buying the carbon grip.

Mine should be arriving today. I have considered swapping the grips since I first bought my S30V Ritter, but I can't see spending that kind of money on a decent set of grips. I could just buy a very decent knife, and probably have a little left over. I still find myself considering it, though.

I got my full size last night and I absolutely love it! You guys are right that coating is the best looking coating I have ever seen on a production knife! This thing is a real slicer.

I received my WilkinsGrips today and still waiting for the Doug Ritter M4 mini that I ordered on 4/7/10. I asked for a high number hence the longer wait.
