Ritter MK1 in CPM M4

I preordered in January, didn't request a certain number and mine has yet to ship. Starting to get a little agitated. :grumpy:

Last week they told me I would have it by the end of the week, today they said they hopefully by the end of the month??

If Aeromedix had any integrity, they would ban Ebay flippers from future purchases.
They have ALLL the information right on their order books.

That just goes to show that they didn't charge enough.

I got an email today that there will be delay, but I ordered late.

I'm not the one selling any of those knives on ebay, but why would you even think or say such a thing? If people want to make profit it's their right. Respectfully, it's your choice to buy from them or not.
Aeromedix' goal is to sell the run of knives they ordered and prepaid. Anything people choose to do with knives after that is not their concern. They are not in business of policing others.

I don't see people get in hurry to buy them of ebay at inflated priced either :p

Prices will rise, no doubt. We've seen it happen time and time again, but it's too early to tell what the price increase will be over years to come. BM or Aeromedix may come out with more LE's and they may bring the value of this run down a notch.

If that is correct, that there is very limited interest at higher prices, then Aeromedix did choose a good price and the person worried about the ebayers, has nothing to worry about. I am not worried about the long-term, as thats not in scope here.

The Ebay guys should be lucky to break even. There is way to many on ebay right now for the uninformed to not wonder where they are coming from, and everyone else knows that you can still order one. Way to early to make a profit, you usually have to wait at least a week or two after they are sold out.

If you can't get one due to a hoarder/reseller buying 30 of them, I wonder how you'd feel.
I actually cancelled my order and bought an S30V Ritter instead and have no regrets at all.

from Aeromedix website

Orders will be limited to no more than 3 of each size to any one email and shipping address.

It seems Benchmade outsourced the coating, since it's one they have never used before. No doubt that is the hold up.

I ordered one early and I received it last week and I am very happy. The coating is amazing and overall the knife is well done. Enough so I ordered another.

I think you will be happy once it is in your hands, I have G10 scales being made by Dobson which should really make it nice.

how much is he charging you for the g10 scales? and does he have pics of different models to choose?

I bought the S30V model too, as the long wait put me off. It's okay, the stonewash is more like a bead blasted finish though IMO. If it would have come with G-10 scales it would have been worth it. But, tacking on that cost and it would be way over the crazy price (I think) I paid for it in the first place. Not what I'd consider a high value knife by a long shot.

The numbered ones at least will have some resale value if you're not enamored with the knife. The 3 steels in this post are all good. I paid $60 for the sleek Pardue Grip in 154 CM..oh well..that's life. :o

I have a few limited edition McHenry & Williams Grips that I like a bit better, but will soon sell. They've got aluminum scales (carbon inserts), but what I like about them most is their solidity and the solid metal "thunk" I feel when the blade closes. The plasticky sound/feel of the Ritters just don't provide that. I do prefer the Ritter blade shape, though.
