The edge is mirror polished. And I've never felt an edge like this with my finger tip. There is no drag.

Beautiful, how is the size in the hands, Comparisons?

Congrats Stician! What's the confirmed hardness on that blade?

It is on the smaller side but fits my smaller hands fine. It's going to be in my EDC rotation when I need something light wearing a suit.

The confirmed HR is 66.7

OAL is just under my Des Horn.

Ok no more pictures for now. Wife may catch me and say WTF another knife!

By the way I started a closed group on Facebook called Rockstead Owners Universe. I figure a place for owners to share pics, experiences and tips on maintenance.

Beschcode,

Since you're getting a Chi, I wanted to share a little "tip" I've learned. Since you have owned a Kou, you probably already know that the Duralumin handles can be quite slick; the same applies for the Chi. I have trouble opening my Chi at times, and I thought I'd share the method I use to help open it easier.

This method is simple. Just place your index finger on top of the handle to give yourself more leverage to grab the thumbstud. See the gif I created below.

I noticed that if your hands are wet, sweaty, or slightly dirty it gives you more grip than if your hands are clean and dry, and then this method is unnecessary. I struggled with finding a comfortable way to open my Chi when I first acquired it, and this simple method helped me out alot; perhaps it may help you too.

Thx for the tip

I think Rockstead should start paying BluesBender some kind of commission... I saw a deal on a Hizen ZDP last week that I couldn't resist, so I should have it in my possession by Tuesday. Very excited to finally see what the excitement is all about.

Yeah head over to FB and join the closed group called Rockstead Owners Universe! Maybe one day in the US we'll be big enough to have a get together and piggyback a knife show.

They can just give me a free knife instead:D Glad to hear you have a Hizen on the way:thumbup:

I'd join, but I refuse to join Facebook:D:p

^^^Yep, that's about it. I used a piece of soft Aspen and used tacks instead of nails, and I made mine to be 8". Flitz is ideal for compound, however, I prefer to use a 50/50 mix of Flitz and Noxon. This is just personal preference. As long as your polish has Aluminum Oxide, you'll be good to go:thumbup:
