Plains? Snow, you live back east where there are hills! If you want PLAINS, you'll have to send it on to me in Liberal, KS - home of Pancake Day and Dorothy's House:D

Okay okay! I guess I'll have to take pictures of the hills around here and then send it to you for the REAL Kansas.

I could get a shot of it with some nice sequoia trees. And, if the timing is right, I could get shots of it on top of various peaks in the Sierra, I have a few in the plans for this summer, including Mt. Whitney.

Now we need the Orient to place up

Well, I might have two options there. First, my wife is from the Philippines, and has a lot of relatives who might play along. Second, I have a son in the Navy, stationed on Guam. He could take pictures there, and in places like Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, etc, when he goes on cruises.

If this gets going by the summer, I'd be up for taking pictures of the knife at Los Alamos! If not, well, I'll toss my hat in for sunny So Cal!

I'm up for Belgium. If you want to risk it to send it to Belgium (never know with custums and mail service), I can go to Brussels for a shot at the Atomium. Manneken Pis is a no go, because i'm not pulling out a knife in the centre of Brussels in such a small and busy street.
Landscape shots are possible also.
It should be here before the end of Septembre then, because after that I have school to worry about again.

I could help you out in Sothern California, though there are probably a few others who can say the same. I have Santa Barbara covered; I'll take it in front of our Mission. It is a fairly well known building.

Great idea, DaveH.

Mr. Glesser,
A name for the 'round the world knife could be 'The Equator.'

Thanks for the continued interest.

I sent some email to spyderco for clarification of what this world knife might be.

I know DanielL said it already but i'm up for New Zealand also. I'm not stressed and certainly wouldn't want to stand on his toes as he did post way back.
One nice thing about New Zealand is that the US and NZ flights to resupply and restock personel to Antarctica fly out of Christchurch so what Daniel said about finding someone to take it down there is quite true.

I´m certainly interested in representing the Netherlands (though I´m certainly not the only one).

Hi Guys

I'd almost forgotten this thread! :o

But I'm still up for it, although I see Ging has offered the U.K. too!

I'll try & pay more attention!

Count me in! Upstate, NY.

Very cool idea!::thumbup:

Some nice waterfalls & The Adirondack Mountains. I'd surely get some nice pics. Especially in the Fall.

UKPK, sounds good to me.

Once momentum is lost, it's almost impossible to get back.

It seems like the design thread is moving very slowly, I may resort to the original "Plan A" which is to buy a DKPK myself and have it engraved.
