For now the lack of moderation or need for facts to back up comments in this thread is an example of why this forum has no longer become a healthy place for manufacturers or many of our customers.

Which is why the manufactures section of this forum is a desolate waste land...

He's not a Seal nor a Marine based on the stuff I've read in other threads. He even admitted in this thread he wasn't a Seal.

I think he's mad that he got a knife that had the point sticking up which is well documented as being the case with some knives. It's also documented that RYP would take care of it.

Regardless of the character RYP has, he was willing to fix the problem.
 
As an employer I have to protect my employers against cyberstalking or I become liable. When it occurs across international boundaries, using aliases and multiple email accounts, posting repetively on forums it meets a number of the simple criteria.

As I have said before. If we screw up we are here to not only deal with it but take full blame with a full guarantee of satisfaction.

If people (this fellow is unique in his singular rage and threats) want to use the internet, telephone to threaten people who are simply trying to get him his money back and he is not restrained by this forum then I have to show prudent effort to protect those people from him.

For example he is trash talking Gianni as if somehow Gianni won't give him his money back, he is threatening and trash talking the order processing people who have my explicit orders to refund his money the second we get a tracking number. He says things like "I had to put pressure" to get a customer response. He has been getting constant responses from DPx Gear since December of 2010 both personally and on this forum.

I have sent an email to Kevin and he has not responded but I have asked him pointed to get this forum away from a tool of abuse by a small minority and back in the hands of people who just want to discuss their love of knives.

I continue to get dozens of emails from Bladeforum people who feel bullied, abused and intimidated on this forum. So I am welcoming them to Black Flag Cafe where they can be free from this time of behavior.

First of all you are getting your money back. If you sent your knife back you got a refund when it hit the postoffice. If you didn't get your knife we process it just as quickly.

The LE folder that was assigned to me was #109. I never received that folder and have an email from your company as proof. If you require more information, please contact me.

UDT-SEAL, just send the knife back and get the refund.
Whatever your feelings, it isn't worth getting so mad.
I really doubt that RYP is going to take the knife and keep your money.
So, send it back, or trade it for a knife you like...there seem to be people in this very thread who would take the knife.:)

Man what's The problem? Ryp said he would take care of the problem and the shipping both ways. I know everyone is all pissed about the freaking other deal with Ren. In my opinion it has nothing to do with us so everyone should stay out of it, and let them handle it. In my opinion if your not happy with the blade that's one thing but if your mad about the other thing, that's kind of a immature on your part seeing how you had nothing to do with it. If your that unhappy with the product/service that dpx offers just sell the DAMN thing or send it back. And let things lie this CRAP of people bad mouthing other people is stupid and a waste of time and immature. Just my 2 sense.

Here is my problem with the whole situation:

I was fine paying months ago without even seeing what the final LE model would look like.

I was fine with ESEE backing out

I was fine with the initial delay in shipping over Christmas.

I was fine with the delay due to all the goodies not being ready

I got a tracking number and was fine with it not updating

I was fine with the tip "problem" it was stated I would get my knife and replacement pins to fix the problem.

What I was not fine with was being told I would be updated through the entire LE process and then having to get my updates from BF.

I was not fine with finding out my knife might be one going back to Italy, and not receiving notice of this. I emailed DPX and finally found out mine was going back.

I was not fine with some people getting their knives and others not. I was early to order and early to pay and still have no idea how it was determined whose knife shipped out when (I have asked)

I am not fine knowing some people will get their production runs before I get my LE.

I sent an email explaining this and asking for a refund, 72+ hours later I have not heard back.
And I have never been part of Jethrotull.

Linda has responded and is issuing a full refund. Thank you.

As I told them:
"I really was anticipating this knife and it was with much thought I made my decision to ask for the refund. I am sure down the road I will look at your products again, but at this time I still have the sour taste in my mouth. I know you produce a great product and do look forward to the time I will be able to own another one."

I find it hard to believe all the physical issues that have came from the lion steel creation.....

RYP is remeding the issues(or trying to) but at the same time degrading his own brand, I think he may just be too emotinally invested in the project(which has became a bad thing)

This knife looked so super sweet in protos, I think RYP, his gang like followers, and the gang like protesters all need to take a step back and asess the situation


RYP needs to let some trolling attemps just roll on by instead of "keeping it real", and some constructive critisims should just be considered

Risen had similar concerns and I am sure you can confirm with him that not only was he contacted instantly but that we are happy to refund money and have civil discussions about anything you care to bring forth. In a lucky catch 22, you are after all a customer as long as you refuse to return the knife.

If you want me to personally call you at your shop tomorrow to resolve this I will. Just let me know what time is convenient for you.

In fact I think at this point you need to deal directly with me on this since I have over a dozen people in three countries asking me to file cyberstalking charges against you tomorrow. Yes that's how serious your conduct has become.

The moderators are asleep at the switch here but I think you can just follow the the more rational advice of the other posters here. Send the knife in and the second I see a shipping confirmation order, I will ask them to process your payment.

You ordered a custom knife, you changed your mind, you don't even need an excuse to return it. As a DPx Gear customer you have a lifetime, no excuses warranty.

I stand by to hear from you.
