You attempted to defraud me. You lied about the condition to sell the knife. You admitted to the true condition in my inbox. Now, do you admit it here as my screenshots show true?
Everyone wants to know if you shipped the knife back or not. This is the MAIN ISSUE. I’ve read the entire thread. He claimed it was LNIB not BNIB and accepted your request to return and refunded your money(this is not an action of someone trying to defraud you, this is an action of someone trying to make things right by refunding your money, scammers/liars don’t refund). You’re focusing on the description discrepancy to show he’s a “liar” to try to make the case that he cannot be trusted but he refunded your money to make things right. You continue to focus on the description and not where the knife actually is. People do describe the condition of their knives differently and this could’ve been an honest mistake. You may be correct that the seller did not describe the knife correctly but he refunded your money and is showing proof that the weight of the package is too light to have shipped a Microtech Ultratech with box and contents. If you didn’t ship the knife back, which it’s looking that way, that’s a MAJOR PROBLEM. This is why everyone wants to see the weight of the package shipped.

I would encourage the seller to take the atomic lighter to the post office and check the proposed shipped weight. If it’s the same weight as the package received back from the buyer, we will all know the buyer sent back an atomic lighter and not the knife. Am I correct?

You don't think that this forum deserves to know that people are intentionally trying to lie about what they sell?? Do you not see that this was intentional and that he didn't care?
You would have been within your right to start a GBU thread about your experience. Not returning the knife was wrong.

I want the truth to be known. People keep commenting that haven't read the whole post. I want people to also know that he tried to rip me off on purpose. Knew it was used and listed differently.
You keep posting the same things but not offering anything new.

The pertinent points to me now?

1. Where is the knife?
2. Where is the box?

I don't believe the usps is guilty of the disappearance of the knife or box. I think one of you two has it/them.

The weight you shipped back couldn't have been knife AND box. But you claim he never sent the box. The weight *might* have been knife only.

3. I agree the knife shouldn't have been listed as "like new" if it had been sharpened.
4. But it also didn't look beat up or gouged as you alleged.

This is a bit of a black eye on both of you.

Read back through the post all of these things have been answered.

I don't have a dog in this fight but 5.9oz isn't beyond the realm of possibility...

So theoretically, if beast shipped out just the knife in a cardboard box with no labels on it, it'd come in under 5.9 oz. That's compelling, but I suppose if I was going to try to scam someone I'd be smart enough to include something of similar weight, but lesser value.

Bro not agreeing on condition of knife is one thing and opinion based, you were obviously expecting bnib it wasn’t which is why I agreed to the refund and mostly cause u were a member with good feedback which is everything. The argument is going away now will bow down to your narcissistic demands of admitting anything to you other than that I refunded your money and u seem to be on some kind quest of apology that isn’t happening. I already said i was sorry ya wasn’t happy and refund money

It would be different if you listed as used, marks etc.. If you didn't know that it was used when you posted, why did you freely admit to it as soon as I told you? What were your intentions?

He refunded your money. You haven’t denied or confirmed that ! All you are talking about is that the knife wasn’t what you expected. It seems very obvious you kept the knife to punish him. Return the knife !

It's just a matter of feedback at this point. You agreed to the return and refunded his money, so Spark won't let any negative feedback stand for you.

I'm really glad this doesn't seem to happen here very much. Reading this is 30 min of my life I won't get back...

But the problem here is unless someone comes clean, we'll never know. The box the buyer says he sent back *could* have contained just the Ultratech and a slice of bubble wrap (doesn't weigh much) - scales can be miscalibrated, yes, even the braintrust at the illustrious USPS aren't calculating interplanetary trajectories on their equipment. So a half ounce here or there is possible. He did say it had no box also.

Now the seller seems to make a valid argument as well, except for the empty vs. lighter point I made earlier.

And we all know stated descriptions are often exaggerated. So like I said, unless the villain here comes clean, we'll never know based on available evidence. So since there is plenty of reasonable doubt, the mods probably can't hit anyone with the ban-hammer.

Hopefully there was insurance on the box and a USPS claim will settle this.
