Let me spell it out for you, since you don’t have a clue:the irony is not even subtle here. "He was/is a Ranger, but going to Ranger school doesn't make you one. But he went thru it..." I think the defender is even more confused now.
Ranger School: is a leadership course. Graduates are not “Army Rangers”... almost anyone can go to Ranger School, from any unit in the army.
Ranger Regiment: Is a military unit, and being assigned to it after completion of RASP means you’re a “army ranger”.
Ranger school is not a prerequisite to becoming an army Ranger, but is something those in regiment must work to complete shortly within their careers.
