sebenza's being outmatched for the value

I can't stomach CR's B.S. and lack of communiction with his customer base. He's floating around somewhere above Mt. Olympus. Hell they talk about Strider - this guy (CR) is unreal.

Now I understand why you've been posting negatively in his room. I think they call that trolling, yet you denied it earlier today.
Why do you still post in his room?

Man o man, I can't believe I even posted in this thread:o I feel like a DA, but I am coming back later to see why cziv still post in the CRK room... and thats it:p

Actually, the thread was started in CRK but I moved it here to GKD.

Sorry, you lost me on your comparison when you mention you have never held a sebenza.

^^^ This.

BTW, I own both and they're both excellent knives. But they're different animals with different purposes.

OP. You went to the "House" of the fan base of Knife and made an inflammatory post. Baseless and void of factual foundation. You then went on to make contradictory posts about on one hand it was a genuine quest for information yet on the other hand posted that you knew exactly what you were doing and that WaLa it didn't take long to "get a rise" out of the CRK crowd (thus my earlier Puppet-Master reference) ALL this after getting spanked in the Hinderer house for again starting an inflammatory direction regarding Price and value, the exercise is manipulative and demeans the purpose of a Knife Forum despite your post asking "isn't discussion the purpose of a forum" Answer? Yes. Honest discussion IS one purpose. So is information, education and comradery.
Baiting (trolling) serves no one.
In the future IF you Really are seeking knowlege from those more experienced - just ask for help. Continue to resort to transparent exercises in manipulation and the "Help" will sound like crickets.;)

yeah it served me and I got owners real opinions of the sebenza through passion for the knife and now I will get one and can not wait. There is no choice, you cannot say annything negative about the sebenza without getting ripped apart, its a very defensive and sensitive fanbase. That is why I said I knew I would get a rise, but along with that I got good hard fanbased facts from users that convinced me to get a sebenza. Rubiconnss you have to loosen up and find a post that you can agree with to make you feel better (but I know that is not what you want), everyone is their own individual and we all can't be like you and know what you know, all I can give is what I know right or wrong and discuss it and learn. I got what I needed out of this post and am done, I hope others got good info on these knives too.

I think that about sums it up.

Next time you shoukd speak with Heather, Jesse, or Anne which are probably the nicest people you would ever deal with. Chris takes great pride in his work and strives to make the best product he can. Im not sure how much you can fault the man for not being a people person.

Point taken!

You don't have to feel like a DA for posting in the same thread as I have. Look, it's not bothering me to post with you in the thread. :D

Fact is, Mr. R and I have issues and I see them being confirmed now at increasingly regular intervals. I don't start the threads but if my frineds are getting piled on - which has taken place in the case of 2 of them in the last week, I'm going to be right there alongside them and supporting what I've experienced also and "tell the truth." You can call it troll - I call it loyalty and lending first hand experience in supporting a just cause. ;)

On the positive side (for you anyway) recall my post directed to Jonsa but include you Ken44.

I think Sebenzas are nice but everytime I get one I think "dang I could have put that $$ on a Hinderer," and sell it. That's just me. If I get another one and I doubt that, it would be a user micarta inlay with no blade scratches and have it sent directly to CRK for a spa treament.

I respect every member's right to buy and enjoy and post what they dig in terms of knives. What ticks me off is blind & stupid loyalty to a knife for no good reason than a myth or because the owner needs to feel that his knife is better than mine or other brands. This is an exciting time to be a collector. I wish I was younger there's so many knives I'd love to own but I know I'd never get too use them all.

Somebody take one of each, and bang them together, edge to edge, then we'll see which one is better.

Better yet, use a ballpeen hammer and a vice, that ought to tell us what we all want to know, anyways.

:D

For knife value, it's hard to beat a good old SAK.
I was watching Les Stroud's Stranded (again) last night, and his SAK withthe saw was making short work of trees far better than my SmF would. Or my Umnumzaan for that matter.
Plus, it makes a better screwdriver, can opener, file, corkscrew, and scissors than any of my other knives. Hell, it'll do better than an XM-18 at all those things.

Plus, MacGyver used one to turn mufflers into explosive round firing cannons after tossing the bad guy's gun...how cool is that?
(yeah, I grew up in the 80's)

one more thing, don't pick apart something someone writes to make them look bad, you are the problem. I see people on this forum taking the time to pick out previous posts I made and bring them into this forum that is pathetic. If you are going to find one line out of a thousand and showcase it to make someone look bad you are the bully. It is tough to express through typing, but I will not go out of my way to show someone up. I am trying to learn more about KNIVES, not people people being snobby nitpicking hypicritical aholes.

have both, and the hinderer's allure is something I guess i just don't understand......great knife for msrp, but its value at true market value isn't much....and ricks policy on selectively selling the knives:barf:

you really need to get a sebenza, and then quit looking at other knives
