Wow dude, you're a liar...with anger issues. That's not exactly what happened there cowboy...I mean "knifehunt" (sounds ominous, do you dress up like Rambo too?) and you know it, it's your BS version of it... (But thanks for confirming that I never do the unethical "gift/friends & family for a PURCHASE, just my choice not to) but I have no more time to waste on trolls that will say anything to cover their embarrassed asses. So now go pester others, son. I have real business & honest people to deal with, i.e. not you two nut jobs with nothing better to do than this argue-typing.

*Mods: feel free to close if you see the ongoing pointlessness of this mudslinging match. No winners here. Just modern-day entertainment I guess.
Talking about all this evidence you have is tedious. I have no dog in this fight but just from what I have seen you are the one that should be on everyone's ignore list. Either post the evidence or stop the bold claims and calling out people's reputations. Or feign outrage that I would question YOUR word and say "I have nothing to prove to you" and continue making people not want to deal with you. The last option is the one you'll probably take along with putting me on your ignore list.

I agree. After following this thread and hearing about this "evidence" all I can say is - put up or shut up. Eric is a stand up guy and went to great lengths to make me happy as a customer.

proof1.jpg Don't know how to make the image BIGGER on BF. It is a LARGE (multi screen shot) image so all the details can be seen. Trying to quench your desires for just some of the proof I said I had. My word is good and always has been. Some guys like drama and to attempt things. When someone fights back, they get their nose bent out of shape. Not my problem. Have pm's too of him claiming all terms were on the sales thread. THEY WERE NOT. Not until an hour later AFTER we had our "discussion". It wasn't until I declined his demand for GIFT option payment...and I told him that info SHOULD have been there for the buyer to see...up front...Then he changes his sales thread and added that info, long after the fact. You can see it on the image posted if a mod can explain why it is so much smaller than my original image once posted to bf?? I also tried photbucket and linking it, but still shows up as a smaller image on BF. Only have so much time to devote to this nuttiness, but I at least wanted to provide proof on MY claims since I've been "called out" by a couple of guys. Not a problem. Bottom line -- I'd NEVER do business with this guy knowing what I now know (same goes for KnifeHunt too BTW). The seller tried slimy tactics, then lied, then tried to cover it up. It is what it is. Believe who ever you choose to believe. I and this seller know the truth. My conscience & record & transaction history are 100% clean. Look at my feedback if so inclined.

ShepardCC (Eric) was a liar and a scammer in my BF transaction with him...which I was (THANKFULLY) able to cancel before it was too late to do so. He pulled some slimy stuff I haven't seen another seller do. Since I can't warn folks via feedback, as I withdrew from the transaction, I thought I'd leave a helpful warning here. This is the kind of thing I WISH I were made aware of before I ever wasted time on this guy. I have the date & time stamped pm's & screen shots that reveal what he attempted, what he did/altered & what he also lied about in writing...not knowing I had made screen shots that revealed the truth. So this "warning" is not "opinion". This is provable fact. ShepardCC now resides permanently on my IGNORE list. I'm appreciative that bladeforums offers that option.

The most helpful thing you could have done was post your proof. Isn't it possible that he realized that he didn't make things known that he wanted to be known until after the two of you started communicating? Why jump straight to accusing him of being a lying scammer?

He altered his listing after I declined to be forced into a PP gift option which wasn't in his original thread, until it became and issue and he then added what should have been there from the beginning...so a buyer can decide upfront if he wants to take on all the risk because this seller wants none. Fine. Just tell the buyer up front. That was it, originally. So I simply told him I wasn't interested and wouldn't have bought from him had he listed that. He got rude and argumentative, then changed his listing, then insisted his listing contained that info all along. It didn't and I have the screen shots to prove it. But that's the small stuff. -- This guy lies to cover himself and blame the other party, no matter what. No big deal with me ultimately, I just don't do business with people that try to scam buyers (and Paypal), then lie about it to cover their actions, then try to blame the buyer.Check feedback. The folks I've done completed deals with here know how I do business. My feedback reflects it. Could have been polite and over. He made it ugly and a big waste of my time.

Life is too short. Keep it all in perspective boys. If you want to do business, just do it ethically and politely, or just don't do it.:)

Echoing my first comment, maybe he saw how things went south with the pm's between you two and thought that he should be more specific in his listing to avoid further miscommunications. I do see in the sale thread you're reffering to that shepard also stated that he would accept money order, check, or cash, were these options not made available to you? I have a hard time believing that he would have said that your only option is pp gift and nothing else, but anyone else interested has other options.

Saying it's no big deal while simultaneously calling him a liar and a scammer repeatedly isn't making you seem like a reliable source of information. Shepard explained why he chooses pp gift, having recently read the stickied [post=13314851]thread[/post] at the top of this section I can understand shepard's position regarding pp. It's not how I would choose to pay, but if he had an item I wanted, I would try to make other payment arrangements. You should take your own advice here, this could have been polite and over but you chose to come into this thread marked good and convince others that he is bad. Saying you have proof doesn't validate anything you've said.

You're only considering this from your perspective. In my opinion, you are conducting business in the form of leaving feedback, would you consider your comments here in this thread to be ethical and polite? If you disagree with my opinion that you are doing business, does your philosophy of being ethical and polite only apply to when you consider yourself to be doing business?

Wow dude, you're a liar...with anger issues. That's not exactly what happened there cowboy...I mean "knifehunt" (sounds ominous, do you dress up like Rambo too?) and you know it, it's your BS version of it... Right now, you seem to be the one with anger issues while slinging the most mud. Most of your posts in this thread have been rude and unethical, that's not an "opinion", it's a provable fact.

All of that aside:
You claimed that shepard was a liar and a scammer. What exactly did he lie to you about? How exactly was he trying to scam you?

I don't know shepard or you, never saw or heard of either of you before this thread. Both of you have 100% positive feedback, obviously the both of you have done things right in the past. The way you represented yourself in this thread is not good.

Finally, three rules that apply to this (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/announcement.php?f=892&a=98)

Section Two, Sellers, rule 6
Be specific with all details of payment. There is no eBay style auctioning allowed. If you want to entertain trade offers, say so in your sales thread (For Sale Or Trade); it is allowed.

Section Two, Buyers, rule 3
Be prompt with your payment. The seller has the right to determine how they want payment and if they will work with you.

Section Two, Buyers, rule 5
Do not post in a person's thread unless you have an implicit interest in buying the item. Posts like, "Nice knife!", "Why is the price so high/low?", "I wish I had funds" are not allowed. This means absolutely no commentary or feedback in someone's sales thread. [size=+2]Seriously, if you stomp on someone's ad, your account can and will be locked.[/size] The only exception to this is in the Knife Makers Market areas (if the maker/craftsman requests and welcomes feedback). Save questions and offers for email rather than cluttering the thread.

Regarding sellers rule 6 - Isn't it possible that he realized his mistake and then edited his ad to comply with bf rules?

Regarding buyers rule 3 - He didn't break any rules wanting pp gift.

Regarding buyers rule 5 - See that larger bit of text? You should probably go edit the comment you left in that thread as it is a violation of the rules.

ShepardCC,

He did the same type of thing with me recently.... that's why he's now on my ignore list. He has a nasty attitude, and feels entitled to other folks possessions, and wants to make his own rules. If you do not like the sellers rules then just move along, don't try to talk someone into doing something the do not want to do.

Exactly knifehunt. What an egotistical maniac to act this way to others. He acted like because he said I'll take it, he now owns it and you are keeping him from his own property. I really really feel sorry for anyone that has to deal with him pulling this crap.
If you aren't comfortable with the deal, don't do it.
I'm glad you stood up to him too

Your weird photoshopped mess of a picture proves nothing other than he at some point for some reason edited his sale thread. You claim you don't have time to post everything in a clear and concise manner yet you have enough time to try and ruin a member's reputation because you got upset that he wouldn't sell to you? The only thing I see here is that he wanted Paypal gift, while I don't personally like Paypal gift and probably wouldn't pay that way with anyone but a very trusted friend or dealer there is nothing in the rules against it. Then you add an edit to crap on a seller's thread, seriously all you had to do is say no thank you and move on not throw a hissy fit. So unless you have some PM's that you didn't add grow up, act like an adult, and just decide not to deal with ShepardCC again. All you managed to do is convince people that they probably don't want to deal with you.

My comments (that you reference above) are in a GBU section thread, the appropriate section...not in a sales thread. And to answer your question, anything is possible...but it's not what happened in this case. I already explained the timing of events in this case. And as far as the tone of my response...no one likes to be lied to, treated rudely immediately by a defensive seller caught red handed. So if my tone is not "positive enough" in the GOOD, BAD & UGLY sec. thread, perhaps you might understand why, especially if you knew the most important details of what went on.

Withdrawn. Unethical behavior. Added to ignore list.
I believe this is the comment he is referencing.

I believe this is the comment he is referencing. "Withdrawn. Unethical behavior. Added to ignore list."

all true ...and I HAD an implicit interest in buying the item...and posted that I'd take it...after that, the problems began with this seller....none of which were initiated by me. I committed...at his asking price...and was ready to pay it...until....well you see where it went unfortunately.

It's all in perspective, and from the perspective of everyone except for you in this thread ShepardCC and Knifehunt are good to go and you wound up on a bunch of peoples do not deal with list because you got your panties in a twist and couldn't let something go, so how did that work out for you?

ShepardCC (Eric) was a liar and a scammer in my (thankfully brief) BF transaction which I withdrew from (because he is a liar and scammer) and then he got mad. He lied about things then as he lies now in an attempt to paint an inaccurate picture of what really took place, to try to defend his actions. What else can he say when he knows what he did was unethical (to buyer & to Paypal) but doesn't want to admit it. He knows it was slimy and lost him that sale...and he knows I have all the proof. He altered his listing after I declined to be forced into a PP gift option which wasn't in his original thread, until it became and issue and he then added what should have been there from the beginning...so a buyer can decide upfront if he wants to take on all the risk because this seller wants none. No big deal with me ultimately, I just don't do business with people that try to scam buyers (and Paypal), then lie about it to cover their actions, then try to blame the buyer. I don't care about his little knife. Too many honest folks to deal with on BF to waste time, energy & money on guys like him. Believe who you want. Check feedback. The folks I've done completed deals with here know how I do business. My feedback reflects it. This guy is a bad apple among a bunch of good ones. Every shady seller gets exposed for the first time, eventually. Here is his. And he handled it SO badly. Could have been polite and over. He made it ugly and a big waste of my time. You want to deal with this guy? Have at it.

Knifehunt, I have no idea what your problem is. I did no transaction with you. You pushed me for more money to try to hard sell me your item. I declined. I never committed to buying anything from you and that was the end. Now you jump in when you see an opportunity to stab someone in the back a little for no reason but your entertainment I guess. Happy to add you to the ignore list as well. You guys are perfect for each other...two guys I would't do any business with now that I know how you operate. Why bother? You two might want to cut down on the coffee a bit. Life is too short. Keep it all in perspective boys. If you want to do business, just do it ethically and politely, or just don't do it.:)

I know I shouldn't say this...but I'm so sick of you entitled guys acting hard behind a computer. I really wish this could of been done in person because I know you wouldn't be such a harda$$. I am one of the most honest, brutally honest people that I know. And for you to call me a liar, something so far from the truth..yes it aggravates me but it makes me laugh too. You are using one of the 7 fallacies of Logic called Poisoning the Well. Your first words are lies to try to discredit me. The first thing you say is I'm a liar and a cheat.
First, It's my property and you are not entitled to it. So therefore it's not yours to be cheated out of.
Second, I never said yes I'll take regular paypal then switched to saying please send as friends and family. If I HAD done that, which I didnt, then I would of been lying. It's called bait and switch. But I didn't. I was still fixing my ad and you pmed that you'll take it. My first reply was "Please send 120 paypal friends and family/ gift option only to this email."
You said you never do friends and family option. You want to do regular option. I said NO. I only accept gift option. Then you tried to bully and force me to make a deal I never and we never agreed to. I very first message to you was paypal gift. I never said one time ever that I'd accept regular paypal. So I never switched and I never lied. So you are the liar here. Not me.

This^ is correct.

I meant this comment [post=15603317]here,[/post] in the sale thread where your issue started.

ETA: Please show where you were treated rudely immediately by a defensive seller caught red handed. Knowing the most important details of what went on is what is most important, not your editorializing of the events.

Since you're using grown up words like "prick", I'll respond to you in kind, prick. I wish it were in person too. You type very tough. I'm sick of entitled scammer & liars too, Eric. "

"First, It's my property and you are not entitled to it. So therefore it's not yours to be cheated out of."

Eric, show me my claim of being cheated out of property or being "entitled" to any property.

You continue to lie about this and you know it. I guess you believe if you repeat the lies enough, it will eventually be taken as the truth. Look, we are both happy to never do business with each other. We both see the other as at fault. Be both have accused each other of lying and have involved others and gotten opinions. But only you & I really know who did what, to who & when. Others opinions are just that, opinions. We're all being added to each others ignore lists, so that should be the end of it. I really don't see the need to invest any more time in insults and mudslinging. If you want to continue this, fine, I will when I have time to waste. Short of that, have a great 2016.

Scrim, give it up man! You've made yourself look like a complete fool. Bottom line is you lost nothing as no transaction took place.
Shepard decided not to deal with you, period.
Take a step back and calm down, your not making the situation any better. Do you really think anyone even cares about what happened to you anyway? Get over it.

Time to end the silliness. Here are the PMs. Timeliness is written out. Screenshots taken on my phone follow. There's all the proof that he's the liar and trying to sully my good reputation by lying.

Number 1 is him sending his first message.
2 is my reply
3 is him again getting mad.
Number 4 is me saying I'm sorry I don't take paypal regular with my reason why.
5. He's becoming very aggressive and trying to bully me into something I'm not comfortable doing.
6. I tell him if we can't do paypal I'm fine with money order or check.

You've proven my points and all that I claimed is true. You've also proven I'm honest, nice to deal with, pay promptly (*until a seller tries to add unacceptable terms AFTER THE FACT)...and when not mistreated by a seller in that way, I'm easy to deal with. So I simply declined your after-the-fact-terms and didn't buy from you. Thanks, Eric. You saved me some time in showing the very same proof.:) -- PS. You seem to have left out the proof of you claiming that your terms were there from the beginning of the sales thread. oops, guess you forgot to include that one. That's ok, the screen shots I posted proved you lied and made the edits about an hour later, after I declined your after-the-fact-terms NOT INCLUDED in the initial sales thread, when I (almost) bought your pocket knife. -- Again, have a great 2016.
