I gotta play too. Love dogs. So here's our 3 hiking/camping companions.

Our oversized Sheltie, Shay (ricochet) and our Miniature Aussie, Bella.

These dog photos are great. I love dogs. I used to raise Akitas and Boxers. We now only have one rescue dog.

This is Kharma, very submissive, won't ride in a cars. We think she was abused as a puppy. When she goes out and squirrels are in the yard, the squirrels ignore her or look at her like she is silly. Kharma avoids the squirrels and refuses to look in their direction. She is a Chow/Golden Retriever mix and one day will turn into a bacon strip.
Spoiled is putting it mildly, but very loving. When I get ready for her to come back inside, I just yell, "Those squirrels will eat your liver!" It never fails to get her running flat out for the back door. She gets a lot of attention and petting.

Thanks for all the great dog pictures, great thread.

One more thing:

I recommend the book, Merles Door, Lessons from a Freethinking Dog by Ted Kerasote. It is a great read about dogs.

I'll join in on the fun

This is Chelsea (red healer). She is 9 and beyond spoiled. Not sure how old she is in this pic. She is around 40 pounds or so, so a lil pip-squeak :p

This is Amy (boxer/chicken mix). I say chicken cause she will run like a chicken from company. Otherwise she is a big furry oaf who isnt going to win a nobel prize in the sciences. lol. She aint no pip-squeak though. i'm a big guy and she can jerk me around with little effort. All 70 pounds of her.

I've got some action pictures in the albums on my profile but here are my boys, Bogie and Bugsey; as Wiems they are a handful but quite well behaved & respectful. ...And they walk very well on their leashes too ;)Bogie & Bugsey.jpg

This is sarge, we've had him since he was 6 weeks old. He is about 12 years old in this picture.
One of the best dogs I've ever had.

In reality they are both my daughters dogs, but I am allowed to feed them and to use the pooper scooper

You all have such wonderful friends! :)

My 10 year old pup (Rhodesian ridgeback) just got her ACL operated on.....so she is not feeling so photogenic....:(

This is Sadie, an Aussie Cattle Dog mix. I think she looks more like a an Aussie Kelpie. This is when we first brought her home in early February

Here is my little ham. We did not have a digital camera when she was a pup so I took a picture of a picture so that I could put them on here. I hope they turn out good.

I just want to say that I am so glad that there are so many animal lovers to give these precious creatures a good home. They are all so adorable. Thanks everyone for sharing.....

one way or the other she was going to get in that basket....
