Signalprick/JWRitchie Knives Slipjoint Recovers, Mods and WIPS

Very nice!

Do you take anything off of the angles near the choil or butt of the knife? It could just be the angles in the picture but the lines look less dramatic to me than on a factory bullnose.

Thank you Josh! They never, ever go back together the exact same as before they came apart so yes the entire knife gets reshaped very minimally and then hand sanded to 600 grit before final buffing. My little Chinese 1x20 belt sander that I converted into a 2" contact wheel sander takes care of dialing it in before I hand sand and buff. It also gives it a very noticeable and more custom feel in hand.

Nice. I really like the profiles you've accomplished. Very smooth.

Thank you Joshua! Fortunately I have a brand new Ameribrade 2x72 coming and it'll have a rotary platen with 2" contact wheel so I may be looking to unload my little 1x20 variable speed for very cheap. If your wanting to keep modding hit me up. It's been an invaluable tool for me as I learn the ropes. And honestly, when I say cheap I mean less than $80. ;)

I've got an 06 shadow build in the works for this week. This one will have Hunter Green crosscut with a corset shield and SS hardware. Got a GEC Eureka in smooth camel bone after that then a full rebuild of these Case Bose classics. I'm going to do 410ss mill relieved liners, shadow patterns with 410ss pins and shields. I'm excited to put my rotating table to use and learning to mill liners. Another small incremental step toward building my own customs!

I think this is my new favorite thread. Amazing work, I really like look of those sharp looking accent liners. I wish i had the tools to try something like this.
