Signalprick/JWRitchie Knives Slipjoint Recovers, Mods and WIPS

Beautiful work, Jason! Got to admit, I didn't know what fordite was so I looked it up. Learning something new every day. :)

Jason, you're: humble, already doing good work, learning all the time, and enjoying the journey. It sounds to me like you are on track to make some good knives.
Thanks for sharing. I wish you much success! :)

Michael, Thank you very much sir. I appreciate your kind words. :)
That one looks fantastic! Nice work Jason.:thumbsup:
Thank you Mark! See what you started! :D
Jason,

You are at the best level at modifying and recovering knives. Isn't it time to go up the upper floor?
I'm looking forward to see your own rendition of any iconic american traditional pattern.
Such a work!

Dan.
Dan, its is time my friend! Very soon.

There you go! I can tell you what fordite isn't, it isn't cheap! Lol. :D

I just finished up my new to me Pena X-Series Zulu Spear. I removed the smooth green G10 covers and build new ones from old Westinghouse double weave brown canvas that a friend found me. Liners are black G10. I thinned out the profile slightly. Sank the pivot pin flush with the top of the liner. It was slightly protruded stock. I also slightly rounded the butt. It cam to more of a point stock. These X-Series knives are extremely well built and are darn near the quality of his customs. I'm not a big G10 fan though, it has no character so the Westy was the obvious choice. This one will see a lot of carry time. Thanks for looking!

You know you’ve got some skills when you’re willing to modify a Pena. It came out great.
It's a production X-Series knife made by Reate as a collab with Pena but make no mistake, the fit and finish on these is top shelf. Nearly as good as his customs. Honestly if the blade was satin hand finished and the cover material wasn't G10 you could argue they are custom. These covers were not easy to make. They really tested my current skills working with my mini mill.

This one came out so beautifully, Jason. Wow. I know "a guy" who would snatch it up in a heartbeat if you ever decide to let this one go ;)

Hey Jason. Didn't know you were such a big deal over here on BF! Good to see you bro. Beautiful work here as well! :)
