My Mom got me a badger brush and some shave soap with a "straight razor" for Christmas. The razor was lacking. Made in Germany, but plastic and with replaceable blades.

Hey bigghoss, if you shave your head have you ever tried a head blade? It's a little yellow razor with a curve and wheels that is designed to shave your head ( and only the head as the blade faces forward) , I used one for around a year when I was shaving my head and loved it, very simple to use.

I'll have to post up pics of the dovo razor I got my old man, he tried it out the other day I was a bit wary of how sharp it was, but he did his first straight shave and survived :D
 
Looks like a guy is selling a BK7 and BK11 for only $350 if any of you guys are on the hunt for those :D

At least it is specific to the Amazon. It probably wouldn't work anywhere but where the box says so, so if it's not what it's cracked up to be then you may have to move to the Amazon jungle to get the proper use of the knife :D

Nice looking straight razors you have there. I have been using vintage DE razors for quite a while and I do have some straights but I can't get past shaving the side burn area with them. I cringe every time I think about shaving my throat with that blade.

yeah - he started by posting the sale ad in the Becker forum and locked it up pretty quick.
who knew adding micarta, a kydex sheath, and a tek-lok would make them worth so much more!
maybe they're camillus stock, and therefore theoretically collectible?
 
So, I have a belt sander up in Springfield. So I played around some today,

That was about the point I realized I need new belts, since I only have 120 belts left(this was a dull 120 but still) so I ordered 320, 500, 1200 and a leather belt.
