Snow, Snow, and more SNOW!!! Yuck!

I heard the same thing about the return of the "Polar Vortex". I guess we're ready for it this time since we already had to deal with it once this year.

seems you are getting all the snow - i am from tirol and we have NO snow whatsoever - only the slopes in the ski resorts are covered in artificial snow everything else is just muddy brown and we had temperatures up to 15C / 59F the past weeks

last year i had no free time - we had all the powder you can imagine - this year - i got lots of free time, the €€€ all access ski card - and NO snow :thumbdn:

Same here bro. Stay safe.

Garth

You too Garth

So....any new word on opening Busse Custom Shop South? In a nice, warm, year round bikini clad area? I'm willing to move. Hell, I might be willing to drink a fruity alcoholic beverage with an umbrella in it

When Europe gets snow and winter weather we here get mild miserable winters. Last year in January it was raining and we didn't have enough snow to do anything until the end of the month of January before winter made its first apearance. This year we have had steady deep freeze conditions for weeks with plenty of snow. Last year we paid for it, and this year we are receiving. From the looks of it, you are paying for last winter's performance. Hope the snow comes in time for the Olympics.

Got to bump this up, and not happy doing it ! ( sarcasm )
Old man winter is blowing in today. Getting snow, 6-12 followed by sub arctic air !! Burrrrr, it's not supposed to get out of the teen's all week ! I just keep thinking spring, spring is coming :):)

It is the height of winter and I am going cross country skiing, -30 would indicate the hard white wax for kicker. Bright sunny day, light winds it should be a great afternoon after two unexpected busy days.

Winter it is, I am glad in a way to see the white stuff. It's the stuff they put on the roads here I can't stand. It makes the trucks and cars just rust away !! Was out for an early morning run and it is amazing how crisp the air is.

I hate road salt too, all it does is blind one's vision with salt spray, and create deadly accidents. Do yourself a favor and have your vehicle rustproofed. I get the annual spray on rustproofing and it works. It has saved me the entire replacement cost of vehicles. I drive a 94 ford F150 and have not had any rust issues with it, all the lines tanks are original and the paint too. The Ministry of Transport is more addicted to salt than fast food restaurants. Without any rustproofing a vehicle's life is about 8 years before they literally turn to dust.

" Bufford "

I agree with you on that ^^^ all the way ! I rust proof my vehicles every year with an oil base anti rust. Shops aren't allowed to spray that kind of stuff here as far as I know ( DEP ) So I went out and bought the spray gun and wands and shipped in the product. My 2004 Chevy looks new underneath and on top, no rust !! I really dislike road salt lol.

Someone...... some clever person..... completely filled the cab of my superintendents truck with snow. Pictures may have been taken. Among the funniest things I have ever witnessed. This is why I love my job.

It just took me 50 minutes to do the 7 mile drive home from work. January bites.

@J - you know the rules bro. I think it didn't happen.

In St. Louis, Mo. they use salt, brine & beet juice on the roads.
Beet juice helps the brine stick to roads & your truck--Looks like some kinda fallout crap on metal--nasty stuff.
Good for car wash guy's tho.

I may have done this to a few friends while I was in high school. They weren't too happy, but those of us involved were having a tough time breathing through our laughter.

I am snowed in at my cousin's in South Jersey. Figured better to be safe and stay here one more night.
The hubby is going to get spoiled having that big bed to himself. The snow sure looks pretty though.
