Mike, I think it's funny as hell how you say you aren't standing up for anyone and that you are just trying to hear both sides. From your first post here you have only been on masterchef. He is the only one you have been asking for proof from. How do you know that anything 8 LEGGED FREAK said is true. It seems that you have decided to accept what he has to say and are asking masterchef to show proof that 8 LEGGED FREAK is lying. You have not once asked 8 LEGGED FREAK to show proof that he did send a German Boker, why not? At no point here has 8 LEGGED FREAK shown any proof that he sent anything other than a Taiwanese POS.

You say you are not taking any sides here. It sure appears to me that this is not the case at all. Your support has been as totally one sided as has ours for masterchef. If you really don't want to appear to be taking sides then don't address all your demands for proof towards masterchef.

Man I sure hope that negative feedback wasn't as a result of this thread, but I have a feeling that it probably was. What a shame.
 
If you sold off a POS Magnum as a German made Boker thats just plain F-cked up. No one has clarified, Were there even any of these that were made in Germany??

If people are screwing you over on feedback, which I am guessing is what your last post was about, then its just karma coming back to ya. Is it right? No, but neither is what you did.

The price thing is just life, I almost always finds stuff allot cheaper after I buy it, thats not the problem here. My major beef is the misrepresenting. Do you admit that you said it was made in Germany. It appears you do from your posts.

As for the time that expired. I don't feel the purpose of Masterchefs post was to get this particular issue resolved but rather to warn others of his experience (thats what this forum is for) after he had seen mention of this sellers name.

I'm not "on" anyone. I have been asking masterchef specifically if what 8 legged wrote was true or not. You think I should ask 8 legged if what he said was true, instead?

Or maybe you think I should ask 8 legged to post a pic of masterchef's knife?

Now that masterchef has said he no longer has the knife, about all that's left is to prove any were ever made in Germany at all.

There is no actual proof left now, after a year.
I read what masterchef wrote, and then much later I read what 8 legged wrote.
I then asked masterchef specifically if what 8 legged wrote was true, because his version is much different than masterchef's.

I have not decided to just accept either version, and I made that perfectly clear in an earlier post.

The easiest way to prove what he sent was to ask masterchef post a pic, which I did. He says he threw it away, so there's no point in pursuing that avenue of investigation any longer. 8 legged certainly can't post a pic of the knife he sent, now can he?

Again, now it's down to determining if ANY were EVER made in Germany.
If they were never made in Germany, that would seem to settle the question once & for all, would it not?

There's only been one demand for proof, and only masterchef could have provided it. Looks like you might need to read more carefully.

Now of course, anyone is welcome to prove or disprove the made in Germany.

Actually Mike, there is just as much of a chance that 8 LEGGED FREAK would have a picture of the knife he sent as there would be a chance that masterchef would have one. Maybe he could be the one to prove he sent a German made knife.

I read every word you posted. I usually do. I get a kick out of your posts. From the beginning you have been asking masterchef to prove that what 8 LEGGED FREAK said was not true, but never asked 8 LEGGED FREAK to prove it was true. You jump on people for taking one side and then you do the same thing. You may not think you are taking one side, but reading your posts it is obvious to see. However, it is nice to see that the poor downtrodden of BladeForums have a defender.

No, that's wrong. I did not ask masterchef to prove what 8 legged said was not true, I asked him specifically if it was or not. Very big difference.
Oddly enough, and I really cannot understand it, he seemed to take it as a personal insult that I would have the nerve to ask him if it what 8 legged said was true.
I guess he got so used to everyone taking his side without question that it threw him a bit.

You can keep sayin I have taken a side, but that still won't make it true.
Just because I'm not completely convinced that masterchef must be completely right and 8 legged must be a POS, that does not mean I am defending or siding with anyone.
This concept seems to be beyond quite a few people here..I just don't understand it.

I also asked masterchef specifically how many emails 8 legged supposedly ignored, and how many months went by before masterchef complained about the knife, and for some reason he still won't post that information.

Like I said, I have nothing against masterchef, but really, I don't think I have a problem with 8 legged either at this point.

You are right though, once the majority get done piling on some poor sap, they tend to look a bit downtrodden.
 
I will not change my story as I told it. I purchased these knives in April 2002 as made in Germany, made by Boker, first production run. I do indeed have a picture of the knife in question. I cannot understand how this will prove or disprove anything either I or Masterchef has said here. The knife had no markings pertaining to the country of origin, however the current Magnums are clearly marked Taiwan on the back of the blade.

I certainly understand you are an upstanding member of this BladeForums community Masterchef. I am sincerely sorry that you think I ripped you off, but I don't believe I did. I think it is great that all your online buddies give you this great support here against the "Evil" Spyderman from BladeAuction. I do think the negative feedback left about me that I posted on here last night was way out of line, it did not happen, and it was wrong. I am curious which member here is carlito14@excite.com ? I share my email for all to see and do what they want with it. I recognize this email carlito14@excite.com and I know that we have done good business, and I cannot understand these comments. That was more of blatant personal attack and had nothing to do with neither I or Masterchef, so please explain this carlito14@excite.com . No doubt those comments will be erased as BA doesn't put up with that kind of BS, and anyone scamming/ripping anyone over there will not last long I can assure you that.

You were quite nice then, and helped me find a good source for some leather inlays. I am surprised to see you jump all over me here, as you cannot really have any idea what went on between him and I.
TheBadGuy you say Masterchef does not want this solved: he wants only to tarnish my good name. And I say to that : A JOB WELL DONE. Thousands have read this now and thousands will forever question my intentions. I cannot thank you enough for that. I am sure now that I will have a rash of Non-paying bids on BA, and false bidders, along with a steady stream of hate mail. As well , of course, more negative feedback that will be absolutely false and posted as a sort of "Vengeance" for Masterchef.

If the picture is important please tell me how I may post it here?

Spyderman- I am not "jumping all over you" I am simply pointing out that if Masterchef was told it was made in Germany and it was made in Taiwan that is wrong. Not because it was you doing it to someone I like and respect, b/c it’s blatantly ripping someone off.

I have some WWII Reproduction daggers that I would be lucky to get $20 if I wanted to sell one, now if I said it was made in Germany I am sure I could get a few hundred a piece for them but that’s taking advantage of someone and its just not right.

The fact that this matter has bothered Masterchef for some time tells me he is sure what knife he received. Now as someone that sells knives on a daily basis, are YOU sure what knife you sent him?

Mistakes do happen, maybe that knife came to you right when they switched and you didn't even notice it. I am not saying you intentionally sold him a lame knife. But I do believe that Masterchef got one and it looks like all he wants in return is an acknowledgment that there was a mistake made and an apology. I am sure you may view an apology as admittance of wrong doing, but that doesn't have to be the case. As I mentioned, I am sure you swing allot of blades and the chances of you overlooking something like this is far greater than Masterchef mistaking a German made knife for one that says Taiwan on it.

You got a first production run Made in Germany Boker Speedmaster?
Which you wanted, which I sold you, which you were quite happy with?

First you post here just to get word of it out, then you want a refund, then you want just an apology?

Which is it?
 
Now I'm intellectually curious how do I know a crappy made in Taiwan Boker, vs a made in Italy Boker vs a made in germany Boker?

Does it just say made in xxx on the blade?
