Yes I can :-)

Sorry for the picture quality, my camera isn't too expensive and the grey weather isn't helping...
I threw in a 710 for comparison as well.

In closed position, they're pretty much the same size. Differences are very small.
*picture malfunction*

In opened position you'll see larger differences emerge since the blade of the 763 is quite small. The 710 has the largest total length, followed by the 738 and finally the 763.

The 738 is a very good non-utilitarian knife imo.

The 738 certainly is nice-looking. But for months now, I've been cleaning the pivot in hot water and lubing it, cleaning and lubing. And it still sticks.

Periodically, I'll take it out and work the pivot repeatedly. Then it feels pretty good. But after not using it for a while, it's back to being sticky.

About one of every two of these imports is good enough to pass muster, in my experience. So I try to buy two (which doubles the cost.) My second 738 has a badly off-center blade and it, too, is sticky.

I'm not quite sure what you mean with a sticky pivot? My 738 is perfectly centered and the blade flicks open scary fast with a slight push on the thumbstud.
Have you tried loosening/tightening the pivot? This solved centering problems on all of my knives except for my SRM 763 (slightly off center, can't fix it)

Galeocerdoshark,

Thanks for the comparison pics! It's larger blade in smaller package :D
Strangely, my one & only 763 is dead center and smoothest among all my knives.

Flatblackcapo,
Have been wanting to do that, but concern with the dust and lack of tool :) no power tool here, all I have are some files, sandpaper & stones :(
Very nice result!

Flash900,
If you have the tools, try dismantling it. I found the Navy k631 has the washer (PB) folded!
After cleaning all the gunk, rust, polish them a bit (tang & washer) usin 1500 grit sandpaper, it's very nice now. Smooth & tight.

chris ,
don't let any of that stop you, a little water will stop the dust .Even with hand tools this kind of mod should only take a few hours at most.I flamed the pocket clip a few days ago.The pic doesn't show the colors .It has some nice blues and golds in it.

Thanks for encouragement! Will try sometime, as it will take some good hours, perhaps on one of long holiday.
The G10 on EL02B is really good looking. All I have (one EDC, one NIB) are micarta, which I'm not sure how it'll look with same mod. The clip mod is beautiful, even if the gold/blue is not so contrast in pics!

Thanks. Good suggestion, of course, but I probably don't have the skills to mess with washers and other innards.

Puzzling because, after opening that first one or two times, it is just fine.
But put it away for a few days or a week, you need two hands again.

those 710's are amazing.

I need to pick one up, I've been putting it off for too long.

what lube are you using? does your knife have teflon washers or bronze?

Mine has one PB and the other nylon (white). Perhaps still some gunk from factory still there? Also the axis spring might get stuck, try flushing it with wd40.

I washed & clean it thoroughly, no lube (the axis bar tends to slip off when spine whacked if lubed) and it's still the smoothest of all my EDC.

It is puzzling indeed ...
