Recently received one. I'm not very confident in the lock. The blade and lock aren't flush with each other. Only the very outer edge of the lock makes contact with the blade.
Press down hard on cutting edge against something firm. It move over a tad?

It locks up okay. It was like 10% out of the box but its a bit better now. There is no blade play. But it still makes me nervous. Just my opinion.

Is thw edge factory or reprofiled? How would you compare it to SRM 8Cr, Enlan 8Cr and 9Cr, and Navy's '440C'?
I didn't even notice who I was responding to in thread, Cap, howdy!
Well, hmmm, the only actual mismatch tween liner/frame and lockup area on blade I've seen in a while has been on Buck Vantages, of all things.
That is a bit worrisome, I admit. Although, of course, if one is using a knife safely, it could just be a slipjoint as far as that part is concerned; all downward force from heavy cutting doesn't put any stress on the lockup point. 'Course, stabbing something, especially with reverse grip, could.
