If you wanted o rings in other colors than black like red or a strange kinda green color you could get them from a auto parts store ask for o rings for the AC system . they would also be oil proof.

does anyone own a inron my803? what do you think? is it a relable or is inron its own maker?

Recently received one. I'm not very confident in the lock. The blade and lock aren't flush with each other. Only the very outer edge of the lock makes contact with the blade. I'll see if I can get a picture of it.

Press down hard on cutting edge against something firm. It move over a tad?

Its not that the lock isn't moving side to side. Its that the blade and lock aren't squared to each other. Only the corners of each touch.

It's a little fuzzy but you can see what I mean.

It locks up okay. It was like 10% out of the box but its a bit better now. There is no blade play. But it still makes me nervous. Just my opinion.

thanks guys . I think I will go ahead and take a chance and order one .it looks like qc is hit and miss . I hope I get a good one.does anyone know of a source in the U.S.?

i got the inron my803 in orange and it has no quality issues. Locks up solid, sharp out of box, flipper works great. i would have spent 3 times as much for it. also its very light for its size and very slim.

I built a figure 4 trap of sticks (~1" in diameter) in the back yard to test my MY803 a bit.

Conclusions:
- A slim handle feels comfortable in the pocket but not in the hand during such cutting tasks. (I had to wear gloves to avoid blisters.)
- The lock up remaind solid.
- The edge lost its shaving sharpness and the ability to cut newspaper.

Thanks for testig it out! Question:

Is thw edge factory or reprofiled? How would you compare it to SRM 8Cr, Enlan 8Cr and 9Cr, and Navy's '440C'?

I didn't even notice who I was responding to in thread, Cap, howdy!

Well, hmmm, the only actual mismatch tween liner/frame and lockup area on blade I've seen in a while has been on Buck Vantages, of all things.

That is a bit worrisome, I admit. Although, of course, if one is using a knife safely, it could just be a slipjoint as far as that part is concerned; all downward force from heavy cutting doesn't put any stress on the lockup point. 'Course, stabbing something, especially with reverse grip, could.

I reprofiled edge to 20 degree per side on the Sharp Maker and I finished the process with the ultra fine rods.
How does it compare with the others? Telling the truth I have no idea. Maybe a complex manila rope cutting test might reveal something.

Howdy indeed sir. I actually like the knife. My concern with it is that its going to wear prematurely until it doesn't lock. Although that could take a while. I'm using it now though. I'll report back soon.

My Bee EL-01D just got here. Very hefty knife. Probably going to have to order the G10 version to compare. So far, I like it a lot. Its needs to be oiled and cleaned up but it seems to be a nice blade.
