Maxpedition makes quite a bit more than just "manbags". But my point was that the Strider (and USN) camps have boycotted products because of the back stories on the manufacturers/owners themselves. Why doesn't turnabout equal fair play?
 
No one has to answer annoying speculations posted in a very small part of the internet.

If someone is driven by concepts of honor and integrity, they may not want to wallow in a mudhole when it's not their problem to begin with. It's certainly not good sense tactically - smart soldiers choose their battle fields, and play to win.

In this case the battlefield is selling knives, in which case the few with an agenda who are trying to stop that, for whatever reason, have yet to make a measurable impact. SKI is still in business supplying contracts and satisfying customers.

This is just a side show, and I learned a long time ago, the folks on exhibit were actually more normal than those who hire them or come to look.

Is this about "honor and integrity" or is it about "selling knives"? Or something else?

If what goes on here "don' mattter," why show up and throw insults?

I checked out the stuff at Maxpedition. Looks like "manbags" to me, lol. I'll stick with real gear like Arcteryx and MEC, but thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I don't have any idea if your percentages are right.

BUT, I do think you drastically underestimate the potential result of "word of mouth" advertising.

Whatever the business or endeavor ...... it can, and in many cases does; "make you or break you".

As far as a "press conference".. ??? ... I doubt that would ever happen.

As far as adressing this situation in some manner and / or "coming clean" .... IF it is true ...... Hey, that is up to the parties involved also.
But usually in this type situation or one similar to it.... the longer it "festers" and goes unanswered in some way and is unresolved .... the worse it gets.

And as far as "measurable impact" goes, who here knows or even really cares? As far as I can tell that is not what this is about ........

BUT, since you brought it up........ "measurable impact" on any business does usually not just show up and say.... "Here I Am, gotcha ya'...... "

It might just be a slow downhill slide.

I personally hope this has no affect on SKI.. BUT, I do hope they step up to the plate and resolve this.... whichever way it really is.

Maybe one day you will stop doing Mick's "Heavy Lifting".

I disagree, you're banned! :rolleyes: That kinda reminds me of elementary school. If there's another side to this story why isn't it shared here so all of this is put to rest? Telling the truth sure beats looking like a phony any day of the week.

I read through the posts top to bottom at two different Strider forums. Lots of references to "the other side of the story" but no revelations about what "the other side of the story" is. I would seriously like to get it. It'd be nice to be able to go over there and ask but it would just get me booted and derided. Oh well.

Don’t feel bad I got banned from there a long time ago, I got banned from another place after two posts for asking someone else about there creds. I got a warning for a ban from here I guess for replying to a post that made no sense and has now been deleted.

Word right now is that Mr Mawhinney will be at Shot 08 with SKI. Also from what little I know of the Shot show it’s a vender’s only show, so don’t break out the pitchforks and torches just yet. I was under the impression that it was limited access

lol, hye,I like my maxpedition jumbo versipack...use it everyday, I guess I am not a hardcore gear guy, but I fidn it usefull, although I really have not bought anythgin like it to compare to, so who knows how I woudl feel about a similar bag...Anyway just wanted to pop in to defend my manbag, lol...

If you post anything negative there you can expect to be banned there. It is a form of Sniping, it's "one post-one kill"

Being banned is obviously something good because most of those banned are good people. One must learn to cowtow, kiss ass, and suck D** to survive on some forums. If you don't you will never see or hear the "shot" coming. That's the mark of a good sniper!!!
