Strider Knives. Why So Much?

Questionable ?

There is no question , Strider hijacked a car at gunpoint , and is a convicted felon , then he told a bunch a lies about it & other stuff , fact.

Dwyer said he was a Marine Sniper , he was a computer tech & he told a lot of lies, fact.

Both of them never did anything to set the record straight , the lies went on for years(probably still does) , there are still people that don´t know about this yet , fact.

Umm... no. Everyone has made mistakes, but that doesn't mean that everyone should get a free pass for any mistakes. You could apply that same logic to say that all world leaders have been dishonest at some point, so people should just leave Hitler alone. If we knew everything about all the big makers, do you really think we'd find that everyone has had as criminal a past as Mick Burger? Not all skeletons in the closet are equal, and you seem to be assuming a lot of hidden dishonesty associated with trusted people to justify the extreme actions of one criminal.

People are quick to jump on the "hate Strider" band wagon. It seems that most forget that not one person on this earth is exempt from past mistakes and regrets. I'm sure that if we knew EVERYTHING about ALL the big makers then those people would buy from none.

Exactly, and thats why I will never miss out on an opportunity to set the record straight about him/them....

Maybe questionable wasn't the right word. I wasn't trying to say that his past is up for debate. I was merely meaning that he had a blemish on his reputation.

I really don't care much either way, so I think I'll just stand back and watch this one. :)
 
I give credit to the reformed criminal if he changes his stripes. Mr. Strider has done so and I support him for that. I only own one of his knives but I wouldn't mind getting another in the future.
 
I have a few Striders. Like them a lot! To be honest I wasn't happy when I heard of the guys "so called pasts." But like someone else mentioned if we knew all the makers pasts Im sure we d have a few shockers! Striders cost what they do because they charge that amount and people pay it. I think they re models in the 3-400 dollar range are fairly priced. I personally think their "customs" are ridiculously overpriced. But people pay it, so they charge it. I will finish by saying that if I see 100% proof that Mick and Duane lied about their military service I will put all my Striders up for sale and donate the money to one of my fav organizations listed below!!

I love Strider knives, but sadly the proof is everywhere. Just takes some looking.

It almost sounds like you guys are getting ready to buy his Strider knives. ;)

Being in the armed forces myself (and no I don't do anything amazing, I am a network tech), these guys really do disgust me. It's a shame, because I like the knives and would like to own one. Oh well, maybe I will get one of the nicer knock offs and play with that instead. I normally wouldn't buy a fake, but it seems appropriate considering they are fakes themselves lol.

Mick is fine in my book and a really nice guy who really does stand behind his products 100%.

I am not really a Strider fanboy, but they do make really good knives and they perform as they should.

I still have 2 SmF's and I am keeping them.

Yep, the design did it for me.
I bought a bunch of knives that were better "bang for the buck", but the SnG and SmF design just had something about them.:)
