Bad Survive! Deserves A Permanent Post In The Hall Of Shame

I wonder how many victims will be included in their completed order section because they needed their Christmas Present Money Back. At least they didn't try that ole scam once again. We here are making a difference when they repeat what we say or others are made privy to their operations. I just ordered me a Battle Horse Sisu for Christmas and although it has been 2 weeks I still have faith that I will get it by the 25th. I will enjoy my O1 steel a lot more than Vaporware 3V or Magnacut steel knife that they don't plan on making anytime soon. To think I would have once considered taking their knife on the Alone Show but now they wouldn't even be able to provide a paid for product to review to boost their company if they wanted to. They would be scared of National attention to their ponzi program.
2016 GSO 5.1 are still not fulfilled yet they cling to the 90 days estimated delivery time window for all new orders. I bet their are people saying I ordered my knife 9 months ago and still haven't gotten them but they have a long wait for sure. 6 years and growing for real everyday people if you order a knife from them. Then you got the ones that say oh I love to wait 3 years or more for a good knife then they say 5 years is good because of Randall's blades wait time. How about doing what you say your going to do Survive. Are you able to stop lying?
 
Halfway through December and Survive! hasn't updated their production schedule. Maybe it's because they are too busy making knives so all the good boys and girls out there will get one under their tree?

Or maybe not...

But is this where I can start to find help because survive knife has taken my money months ago, and never delivered?

I even called and spoke to Guy - promise and excuse after promise and excuse. After research here I am, apparently just another person in a long line of people swindled by Survive Knife.

This might be a repetitive question, but can anyone offer me any information tips or help?

Request a refund asap, then find a knife from a reputable manufacturer that suits your taste. If you review this thread there are quite a few recommendations for knives that are superior to anything produced by Survive.

If you've spoke to Guy, that's probably the best avenue. None of us can do anything directly to help you.

Thank you for the reply, but yes I understand no one can ‘directly’ help me, that’s why I asked for tips or information that ‘can’ help me, not to help me directly. And like I said, I’ve already spoken to Guy, all he’s done is lie the 1 time he actually picked up the phone - So that’s clearly not the best way to go about it. Which is why I am on here.

Obviously many people have dealt with this company before, so that’s why I’m looking for additional info: possible tips, information I haven’t found yet, or other methods people may have used in the past that worked to fix the situation other than doing the aforementioned that I’ve already done.

I’ll just have to plug away like everyone else. Shocked that this company is actually still able to be a legitimate business! And the more I look into them the worse it gets! Ultimately my problem isn’t the wait, it’s the lies about what’s going on and unfulfilled promises and time frames. But I guess there’s shady characters everywhere!

Get yourself a refund request from Survive and find another company. I highly, highly recommend Carothers Performance Knives (CPK). They've got an active forum here and are frequently selling knives on Friday sales over in the fixed blades sale page. They make similar sorts of knives but with better designs, and they are responsive to customers and support your purchase with an actual warranty.

I had a Survive GSO-6 that I waited something like 15 months on (and I was fairly fortunate with that wait time, from what I gather on this thread). It was a fairly well-made knife, but I sold it the moment I got myself a CPK. I now have three (UF2, DEK1, and an SDFK) and am extremely happy with them.

What are the details of your transaction? What did you buy? When? Payment method? Survives stated timeline? What did guy say to you? What is the time line of all these events? Document it please.

Demand a refund and if that is denied or not responded to dispute the transaction with your bank/cc company
This is the best advice. Demand it in writing. Call them again and demand it right then and there. Demand it on their social media platforms. File a report with the BBB (this seems to have worked if you read their profile there). At the end of the day though, contact the institution you paid with. Let them know that survive has not followed through on their delivery timeline and refuses to refund your money.

Just some objectivity to go along with the suggestions you request a refund. Take a look at the archive of their Production Schedule page from December 4, 2021:

It lists their GSO-6, GSO-12, GSO-4.5, and TSK as "Shipping Now". Scroll below that section and you will see other models listed as "Shipping in 1 to 3 months". This was more than a year ago.

Compare that to their current Production Schedule page:

GSO-12 is still there, TSK is still there, the GSO-4.5 slid down to the "Shipping in 1 to 3 months" section.

Survive is not capable of meeting their lead times promises and speaking to Guy is a complete waste of time. They have lied about this subject for a long time and, despite what some apologists on this thread would ask you to believe, continue to do that even today..
 
Once upon a time I was a live or die by survive knives... lol. Every one I've owned came from the secondary market on Facebook, when I still had a Facebook. I ended up getting refunded every dime I spent on their knives from the factory. I could care less what the fan boys keep saying, I personally have never had one good interaction with Survive. I won't take away from their blades though. They are absolutely superb, but it's hard to support a business that's built its entire model around so many lies. Personally... I think they should take the approach of no pre-orders and just sell their completed knives when ready to ship. That's just me though...
