lol...a classic....
Our last order to Survive was in October 2022. I don't know where he's getting his steel. If there is a way, you should probably not supply survive with any more product. They are nothing but trouble.
Is he under the impression that Guy is a veteran? Guy IS NOT A VET!!...He claims to be a supporter of veterans...
thanks for the clarification. Guy has really figured out how to make the YouTube reviews work for him...No no, I messaged this reviewer a few months ago when he posted a video on the GSO 5.1. I told him I liked his videos and that he should research SURVIVE! before promoting and accepting knives for review.
On his knife review channel he speaks about the problems veterans face and claims to be a supporter.
I told him it would not be cool to promote SURVIVE! and put people into a situation where they get scammed.
Well... unfortunately, he knows the truth and would rather review "rare" knives. Rare because the maker is scam artist haha. Bummer, I bought a Kukuri after watching his and Gideon's review.

I don't think I've watch his videos, but I appreciate reviewers putting their values on display. Makes it a lot easier to know who is worth watching.I'm really bummed that @choirboyzcutleryoutdoors is now shilling on YouTube for Survive!
Good! Can one be so bold as to ask how that came about? Guy a little slow to pay? Not his first rodeo doing that. Our last order to Survive was in October 2022. I don't know where he's getting his steel.
Quit being nosy, simp.Good! Can one be so bold as to ask how that came about? Guy a little slow to pay? Not his first rodeo doing that.

As a general rule it’s a good idea to not divulge the particulars of business transactions.
Niagara shared some basic facts and has remained professional.
Okay, okay, you guys are right.. Sometimes I forget to repress my inner detective. Question withdrawn.Quit being nosy, simp.

I suspect it's not a machining issue either. I bet he put the "inclusion" in the steel so he'd have a prop for his video. There is a thread about S!K and the Magnacut issue on that bushcraft site. A few respected makers (i actually own a knife made by one of the posters) politely weigh in on the steel "issue." The prevailing opinion seems to be that Guy doesn't know what he is doing, has very unrealistic expectations, and that what he is showing is not a steel issue but more likely a S!K machining issue...
A comment from a very experienced knife maker on another site said that it "can not be an inclusion because it follows the bevel grind and profile and not the rolling direction of the steel" and that "suggested some kind of contamination being introduced during the grinding process." They also made mention of how little experience Guy has running the machines he has, and that many of his explanations regarding S!K's processes don't make sense.I suspect it's not a machining issue either. Yeah, I'm not qualified to make those sorts of determinations either (even though I do make knives), but I'm 57 and have a really good bullshit detector. Guys like Guy look for excuses, and if they can't find any then they manufacture them, pun intended.A comment from a very experienced knife maker on another site said that it "can not be an inclusion because it follows the bevel grind and profile and not the rolling direction of the steel" and that "suggested some kind of contamination being introduced during the grinding process." I am not a knife maker, but that those comments ring truer than the BS that Guy is spewing.
