Bad Survive! Deserves A Permanent Post In The Hall Of Shame

folks, this is the end result when some jackass wakes up one morning and decides he's going to make a knife business.
 
I can't belive their scam is still active. I coundt myself lucky that I got preodered as soon as they started producing knives so my ordered were fulfilled. I can't phantom paying and waiting years while SK spins they yarns about production problems and whatnot.
 
Has anyone ever been able to cancel their order and get a refund? I got suckered in and ordered a GSO 5.1 in August 2023. Maybe I just need to handle it with my credit card company.

That would be my recommendation.
 
There's numerous accounts in this thread of people taking months of effort badgering Survive trying to get a refund.

I believe you have 180 days to file a dispute with PayPal.

The reports of people getting ANY response from S!K are very few and far between. The reports of getting refunds are even more rare. The VAST majority of people that got refunds went through their bank / CC provider / PayPal. Good luck.

Guy (with orders outstanding since 2015 and a very established track record of saying things that are not accurate) is calling out Dr. Larrin Thomas (one of the nicest and most respected members of this community) and Niagara Specialty Metals. The sad part is that there are a bunch of poorly informed people in the comments that think Guy is a victim in all this.
 
Guy's latest YouTube video is really pitiful. He talks about how his life is falling apart and that he and Ellie are getting a divorce.

S!K has been the cockroach that will die, but I sense that the end in getting near...
 
I actually got a reply from Tyler at Survive! from a message I sent last week in which I asked about when they would be fulfilling my order and pointing out that the PreOrder page says orders are on schedule to be delivered in a few months, which I also pointed out is not true. Tyler said "We actually do ship out orders within the allotted timeline , it all depends on where we are in production." So even with people waiting 1, 2, even 4 years (from the comments here an elsewhere), they believe they are shipping in the allotted timeline. He also said they are prioritizing the GSO 5.1 orders now.
 
I wonder how much of the Survive holdings Elle is going to scurry away with in the divorce settlement ???!!

Dang, think about how much mileage he can get out of that. The latest production delays are caused due to his mental wellness issues! Then at some point he will close the whole thing down due to divorce issues. That will be followed by a new startup knife company run by two fun loving kids named Dude and Mellie.

Also in that video, Guy talks about how he reads and approves every comment on YouTube (and maybe elsewhere), so that is why negative comments never show up. And if you look through the comments, he is replying to almost every post. How much time is going into reading, reviewing, and commenting on YouTube videos, much less the time to record, edit, and upload the videos just about every day? Hanging out in the comment section of any video you make is usually not good for your mental health. If I spent that kind of time on YouTube, I would be out of a job because my productivity would be zero.

The bizarre thing is that there are A LOT of comments from people that are lapping up his BS.

If you just learned about Guy / S!K a few weeks ago, and only got info from friendly content creators on YouTube and Guy, you would think he is a hard working patriot that has a deep commitment to quality. You would think that he has been victimized by big bad companies that sent him defective products and bad partners, but he is continuing the good fight and is really a stand up "guy."

Guy has done a decent job of crafting his BS message, and a lot of people are buying it... unfortunately, many of them will find out who Guy really is when they don't get their knife and try to get a refund.
 
This WhatsThePoint_EDC guy is in every Survive video and Survive review video. It is hard to buy that much positive press (unless you buy that much positive press).
