Bad Survive! Deserves A Permanent Post In The Hall Of Shame

After almost 4 months, Survive posted an update. Based on all of the videos of production, you would have been under the impression that a lot of orders were going out. But the percentages have not really moved.

2019 and older orders have come to a complete halt.

2015: 0.0% in 2 months
2016: 0.0% in 2 months
2017: 0.0% in 2 months
2018: Complete
2019: 0.0% in 2 months
2020: 0.5% in 2 months
2021: 1.3% in 2 months
2022: 2.4% in 2 months
2023: 2.9% in 2 months

*Now that we know that Survive! counts refunded orders as "Complete", we can't tell how much progress they actually make on older orders.
Since 2022 they've only gone fro 60% to 73% completed orders placed in 2020. Think about that. On already 2 year late orders, in the next 2 years they only completed 13% more of the order backlog, and many of those were likely refunds. Just what in the hell are these people doing all day? I know, making videos, ha ha, but seriously. You can't claim to be making progress and working 7 days a week 14 hours a day and then publish numbers that show you haven't done jack shit.

I'd like to see actual number of knives instead of percentages of orders. 13% could be just 3 knives produced. Who knows. But really, what the hell are they doing all day?

Ohhhhh that's my favorite part of this whole mess.
I'm obviously a relatively late-comer to the S!K nonsense, but I got caught up pretty fast.

Last January when they assured us, yet again, that the 2015 orders are ready to ship, I fell for it hook line and sinker.
I thought, "well of course they'd get it done eventually. It's been almost 10 years! they'll get them out, claim victory and then move on to not making other knives.".

But I was so wrong. S!K's ability to delay knife shipment exceeds my wildest imagination.

Whoops. Had to correct my post. My copy and paste left x.x% in 2 months. Should have been 4 months. Doesn't really change the message though.

Isn't it actually worse than that. Doesn't the chart show that 2015 order percent complete has not changed since 1/5/2023. And the 2017 orders haven't changed since 10/7/2022.

Me too.

I have stated this before, but I don't believe the numbers S!K posts.

First, they are totally incompetent and I doubt their ability accurately compile this data.

Second, Guy and Ellie lie. A lot. All the time. Since 2013. Consistently. With that in mind, I would expect that they adjust the numbers in their favor.

And that is the troubling part. If these are the horrible numbers they are giving us, how bad are the actual numbers?

Are you saying that you have a 2015 order than you still haven't received?!

no no no, I was smart enough to avoid S!K like the plague, but I get personally invested in this so I sometimes liberally use "us" to mean the knife community at large.
If I had an order outstanding from 2015, you bet I'd be taking every action I could to get my money back.
S!K would become my new favorite hobby.

We do know there are people from 2015 that haven't received a knife.
I don't know where those people are, and why they're not so outraged that we know exactly who they are.
I imagine some of them now have young families, or are in hospice care, or some other such situation where their big fancy S!K is now of significantly less use to them.

a lot can change in 9 years.
... well... except S!K's incompetence. That's forever.

Right, but people expect a washed car when they lay down cash. Guy is going to have a problem with that.
Oh no. You just set the coin boxes to malfunction on a regular basis. Have no one on site to complain to and if a customer does find you just blame the power company etc.

Since we’re on the topic of 2015 orders, I saw this the other week

This is a quote from a response from S!k I got in december when asking about status on my GSO 5.1 in magnacut order from 2022.

"But in a nut shell we are doing the best we have ever and finally getting caught up on everything. Hope to have our whole backlog finally completely cleared out hopefully by end of year or starting the new year and once that happens lead times will basically be cut almost in half."

They have since not made any proper responses by mail, but gotten responses on IG. But to be fair they have been everything but clear responses.

Guy is ALWAYS "getting caught up". He will literally say he can't produce Magnacut knives because the steel is garbage (or can't ship because it costs money to make the sheath) and in the next response say they are on track, getting caught up, clearing all back orders by next month. The responses are a broken record.

They have been saying the same BS since they started the business in 2013.
