That's really confusing. If it's marked, then it should have already been heat treated. That just means it should have only needed a final grind to put an edge on it and then the scales. The videos from May for the GSO10 show a lot that needed to be cleaned up and didn't have any laser marking on them.

Regardless, I'm glad you got your knife.

They just couldn’t spare the time! They’ll be working through the weekend to finally get the backlog finished and moving on to the next chapter! Just a few more days and all the problems will be in their rearview! If you just have a little more patience you’ll see how great of a company they can be!
 
They shouldn't even be mentioned on D-Day...a day when special men went out and at great peril did what was asked of them...so many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice.

This guy can't even fill knife orders or keep a promise.
 
I just checked their site, and it looks like they finally stopped taking pre orders. You would think that's a good sign, but I've gotten my hopes up before and been wrong.

probably these new fellas that are in the company now, are decent people and want to fix stuff and get stuff done and right.......

but they're likely gonna fail cause they have to deal with guy. there is no way to fix anything with guy invovled.
 
Interesting that Jon / Heavy Set Tactical has posted a new short video on a Spyderco he owns. He mentions S!K in the video, but will not respond to comments about his ownership status at S!K.

I'm sure he didn't mean to upend his whole channel with his move to... do whatever it is... with S!K, but that's sure what happened.

He put the ownership thing out there, then refuses to confirm it or elaborate. IMHO, that is just another amateur move by S!K. It does absolutely nothing to improve their credibility, but at this point it is 100% on brand for them.

“Decent people” as a rule don’t get involved with indecent people on purpose. Given the known, proven history of Survive? no decent person would go into business with them. Even if one takes everything that’s been posted about them with a huge grain of salt the facts remain that they are, at the very best a shady group of individuals.

maybe all true what ya saying...I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, for now. guy has been pretty good at duping people for a very long time...

As Sam in “Ronin” once said, “when there is any doubt, there is no doubt.” Giving people who have proven themselves to be untrustworthy the benefit of anything is why they’re able to continue lying and stealing from people.

Strange comments on Jon's / Heavy Set Tactical most recent YT video. It appears that there are some deleted comments, but based on what is left Jon appears to not be working at S!K any more.

To paraphrase Biggie, "it goes, on and on and on..." until S!K runs out of money. :(
