It’s a strange thing to witness. Having watched Survive since 2015 and now seeing their painfully slow demise I’m not delighted in their passing. I really just want the 5.1 I ordered 4 years ago. I can’t say I’ve ever encountered such a situation (paying up front to wait an indefinite period for a product). I know some custom knives take a long time for fulfillment but I’ve never gone through that process.

He's nearing the end of his con artist rope. Trying to bilk Peters' and Niagara are acts of desperation. He's risking being exposed in court, drawing more legal attention to his operation.

He’s at the end of his con artist rope but I’d actually say the opposite in terms of reason; I think he got too confident and bit off more than he could chew with those two. After he got cut off from new materials it only became a matter of time before it was time to pay the piper. It’s such a shame for so many reasons. I have a bunch of questions I’d love to ask guy out of real curiosity but of course it would be impossible to get the truth. The product would have been possible to price at a higher point and still generate sales with a sustainable model and probably create a stable and successful business, I just cannot for the life of me understand why they made the decisions they did instead. I may try and track down the heavy set tactical guy at the end of this and see if he’ll give some insight but of course he’s only going to be privy to a small part of the mystery unfortunately.

That makes sense since he's a classic sociopath. Overconfidence is one of the traits of sociopaths. I suspect sociopaths don't care about the pursuit of excellence for it's own sake, for the challenges and the rewards associated with progress in their endeavors, but instead use the pursuit excellence as just another means to manipulate, control and take advantage of others. Some people are just rotten.

If this is true, it's probably because Big Jon wasn't prepared for the backlash, or else he significantly overestimated his own importance and the perception others have of him in the extreme. He probably thought everyone would greet his involvement with good news, and immediately start the preorder gravy train back up and the money would start rolling in. I expect Guy thought this as well.

Then Reality, and the continuing consequences of past bad actions continued to steamroll the effort. Oh well. LOL
