The idiot literally paid guy to get in on the scam.

I think it also shows how guy was able to run this con for so long. Fool the customers, your employees, your businss partners, your materials providers, and when needed, your potential investors. Anything to buy another day of someone else paying your way. Survive knives.

As far as Jon, that video was an attempt to save his own skin, and salvage his reputation. If he genuinely cared about helping people get their orders and keeping people from getting scammed he would have come clean a LONG time ago. Not fooled by his crocodile tears. Maybe it’s just me but if I was in Jon’s shoes I might not have publicly shared the current state of affairs but I would’ve certainly gone behind Guys back and ground some knives and gotten shit out the door. Especially during those long walks that Guy was taking.
 
For anyone that is following along, Jacob is really slamming this forum.

From the comments of his YT video where he is talking about this thread and BF in general:
"The basement dwellers there didn't even understand half of it I'm afraid.Not only that but seeing the sheer stupidity in that particular thread automatically discredited what they said. If a person doesn't know the difference between a ponzi scheme and a thief and they are clearly foaming at the mouth they are hard to take seriously.If there was some decent moderation in on the page however it could have been a valuable resource.There are good corners of BladeForums but trash management and a stupid price layout has made them few and far between."

He looks and sounds like someone who has an extra chromosome, but he has the moral fiber of jared from subway.
 
There's a certain desperation in his presentation that's just sad. In any case, it's pretty much irrelevant. The customers who have lost out know the score. Crucible knows the score. NSM knows the score. Peters knows the score. Other makers know the score. And now our community and beyond know the score.

Hell, even the PA Attorney General's Office knows the score. (What they do with it is beyond our control.)

Not worth spending a moment worrying about the rants of little men.

I doubt he did any more than assemble parts and put knives in boxes. Grinding, running the other machines or sharpening is likely beyond his capabilities. He was there for social media and filling orders.

He was so damn combative here. While Jon was part of S!K, Jacob was all in pushing the narrative that S!K was just about to turn around and dominate the industry. The point he was most argumentative about was the backlog; according to him, there was no proof of a backlog and we were wrong about S!K. Now that Jon is confirming the AT LEAST 3500 unity backlog, Jacob has pivoted to ad hominem attacks on the forum.

THIS!! As far as I can tell, he has ZERO manufacturing, knife making or managerial experience. He brought nothing to the table other than $s and a warm body to do grunt work.

nope, not following his ramblings. he's boring. saw one video he did, that someone posted here. that video showed me hes in the wrong business. lots of child like whining and super mad face...was kinda funny.

sounds like these newer videos are just a whole lot more butt hurt.......

That is still the funniest part of this. He was combative because he accused posters here of having no idea how many backorders there were. He said that there was no proof to any of the claims that there were thousands.

Yet we stand here correct and there he is, still wrong.

if I recall correctly he said that survive would soon overtake companies like benchmade in sales volume because things were about to turn around, which was also why mysterious forces in the knife industry were working to keep survive down in order to prevent their inevitable market domination. It kind if felt like a twilight fan fiction, except about knives that never get delivered instead of vampires.
 
Because of this thread I never bought a SIK knife due to all the warnings and people speaking out about huge delays and all the craziness. Even when there were some on the exchange, I didn’t want to buy a knife from a company with such track record, and little integrity.

I was reading when Beachmaster got the temp ban from the thread. People were speculating how he was gonna be when his temp ban ended. I was thinking that he couldn’t be that stupid as soon as he came back. I was wrong, he was! Came right back in guns-a-blazin and with the insults. I can say the mods gave him more chances and respect than he deserved.

Haven’t been active here aside from purchases in a long time, and just found this thread looking for details on the survive charade.
I was a supporter of theirs when BF 86’d survive in ‘18. At that point I had purchased a handful of knives from them without issue. Preorders with long waits that eventually arrived, in stocks that shipped the same week and even bartered for a one off scandi. I had just placed an order for a GSO 12 in ‘17 and wasn’t ready to see the situation for what it was (In my defense it wasn’t nearly as obvious then as it is now with everything that has happened since ‘18. The writing was on the wall but it wasn’t a flashing neon billboard like it has been the past 4 years) I wanted that 3v chopper real bad… What I had gotten from them was top notch and I really wanted to believe all the excuses and delays were just a spell of bad luck.

Well, here we are. I’ll see what the PA AG has to tell me but I’m glad I’m only out one preorder for $389.
Not really sure why I’m even posting this, I guess just to commiserate with people who know the players and the game? Feeling like opening myself up to the brutal ridicule only BF can provide? I appreciate those of you empathetic to the 4k+ of us jerks taking the hit on this.
With that out of the way; Who makes a wide 12” chopper in D3V besides carothers? lol

I'm so pissed they have the nerve to show the GSO 5.1 when they had to pin a comment in their original video not to order.

I know it's wild to assume, but I thought they were good dudes. Seems they have no shame showing something that got their own viewers scammed.

I would be embarrassed to ever mention SK! again.
