Bad Survive! Deserves A Permanent Post In The Hall Of Shame

Well another year and another round of lies. I remember everything was going to be done by 2021 and that statement being made after new orders have been open. Now it all under one roof and going to be done by some made up date. Now the gall is we will raise prices if people don't order more blades. All you have to do is put an order in and wait for the best knife to be made in months. Heck send in 10K and you can get a discount but when you are finished waiting 10 years you will lose that discount for restocking fee on a knife that doesn't exist. They have not even completed the GSO 5.1 which is their flagship blade from 2016 and they are taking more orders. Sounds like a ponzi scam to me. I remember how fanboys would tell me that the Delta treatment made the Peters normal 3V crappy. With survives warranty nothing will get done about it because they don't cover anything other that cutting things like fruits and paper and even then that is up for them to decide. Hello newbies you wont get your order in 4 months and you will be really lucky if it is 4 years. The scam on vaporware continues because people are sending in money to keep them afloat. Pretty sure even A2 steel beats Survives junk science and lies. Look at all the new models out there and what they finished in the last 5 years. They are not even doing 25% of what they claim to do. The GSO 6 wait time is 6 years and going. 5 years on the GSO 8, 10, 12, 5.1 and the years keep piling up as they add new models. That show the ordering has not stopped and those few months they took off before they started up was another part of their ruse and meant nothing. The only thing keeping them out of Prison is the refunds they give and they know most people will wait at least 1 1/2 years before it starts. They don't care about their product or you from what has been going on. I wouldn't trust their product with my life. I put more faith in 1095 or A2 over anything these liars say. Break a LT Wright or ESEE and see if they stand behind their product compared to what Survive does. The list of fans has to be going down with each month that passes by. How many times does a model has to be canceled or upgraded or a new steel or new this as long as the money keeps pouring in to fund their crooked path. I wonder if Beagleboy is still sticking up for the gutter snipe company.
If not already mentioned I'll add one of my recent rants with them. Took some mentioning on the fan based facebook webpage to finally get some true answers due to others that took notice and it was the change in grinds, of course the GSO 12 had quite a mod change but noticed the GSO6 finally received nearly 4-5 years later (2nd GEN version but under Millits work) had a slight hollow grind. He (assume it was Guy addressing me) admitted they could not "dial in" the precise flat grind as all the 1st Gen models and the 1st batch of 2nd Gens of who did their grinding work prior to Millit. I was shocked I'm sure as most with all the new offerings and now this plan to draw in business in the thousands for meager discounts. An OK knife but a terrible business model.

How are all these blades going to be made by Christmas if they are moving to TX? BTW no dealer is going to be calling to send you 10K or more and never have a completion date. Sounds like the Chinese Loan where you decide when to pay back the loan and how much knowing fully well the product is never going to be made as. Hey Guy open a store and have pictures of products with we will send it to you some day when we feel like it. Guys' burger joint we will take money for the burger now and have a manufacture make the best burger and send it to you someday.
Maybe he will try to get onto Shark Tank one day, would love to see the responses he would see if they (Mark and the gang) were to find out about their history.

At this point, I have to be honest. Anyone who gets fleeced by these scumbags gets 100% of what they deserve. It's 2021 and virtually 100% of us are carrying a device on our person that gives us instantaneous* access to an endless amount of information on virtually every topic and entity. If I was looking to buy something, ANYthing, one of the first things I do is do a quick Google search on the item itself, and the seller/maker of that item. I do this for virtually everything I buy that I don't already know about. It's a simple process. So anymore, if people want to keep giving these effing charlatans money because they're too lazy or dumb to do a quick search, then I just don't have any sympathy for them. "YA GET WHAT YA @#$ING DESERVE!" is where I'm at with it.

* Well ok, based on your proximity to a Wifi hotspot, or if you have enough bars LOL

My guess is they do not get repeat customers. People order, wait the wait finally receive a knife or get a refund and never order again.

I should have listened to you guys… I will be one of those people… if/when I get my 3.5 I will write them off as bad people not to do business with.

You seem to understand there is a good chance you will not see your knife from them, why then would you not demand a refund and get your money back, or is losing a couple hundred bucks no cause for concern?

Not to attack you personally, but the mindset in your post is what enables / enriches these deplorable thieves.

I understand what you are saying completely. I am not going to deny it. I want a survive 3.5 that is not used at a marked up price from an auction site or forum.

I have several GSO’s that I have acquired over the years used and I like them. I wanted a new one for $199.00. It’s as simple as that.

Did you guys watch the video where the handles don’t fit the blades? He appears to blame millit for it. But in the previous video he released a few days ago he says the delays were because they had to scrap all the millet blades and start from scratch and make their own. Now those are out of spec and he has to hand fit each set of handles to the blade by wallowing out the holes…

those high standards only go so far I guess.
I would think they sold the other knives and then came out with a new design because Millet isn't there and Survive are going to make others wait again. That is what they did to me. They said they would send my knife as it was built n inspected and ready to ship shortly then they had 10 months of sales on the 7/7 and another year past before they said it would not be done by the 3 year mark so I asked for a refund. People that ordered around my time had to wait over 5 years to get it. I ended up buying on the 2nd hand market but it wasn't anything close to the HDFK that Nathan's makes. I have a new guy that makes the best blades for actual use I have ever seen "William Collins" The AK Scout Knife and Master Woodsman in AEB-L or O1 are working blades that are tough. He now uses Nitro-V and got the heat treat to make it robust. People talk about steels like they need this or that but at this point A2 or AEB-L is plenty tough for me and I am out in the woods weekly. I quit posting so much because of sneaky Survive fanbags and their MO. I don't think Survive makes 10% of what the orders they take in and just wait for the refunds to take place and then ask for more money. Survive Knives is a joke of a pry bar with a dull edge compared to what a real knife is suppose to be. I would rather have a Fiddleback Duke or Camp Knife and not deal with Survive again. They never show at any blade shows for a reason.

I have a GSO 3.5 and rarely used it I think I cleaned a trout with it. It is not that great in my opinion. The blade is thick as a crow bar and not really a slicer. I guess if that was the only blade you had on your side and got lost the extra toughness might comfort you in that it would not break easy. I got mine in 20115 when they would ship things in 8 months from order time. Don't let that blade showing up or not showing up cause you dismay as they are not that functioning for a blade of that size. I suppose if you piggyback it to a 7/7 or larger then for showmanship it would work. I would rather have a EDC from Carothers.

I say, I say boy what Survive Knives did is about as low down as a snake full of buckshot.

I was one of those idiots that did not do my research before buying. I read good reviews on survival knife review sites and trusted thier recommendations.

I ordered mine in January and didnt start doing my homework until the first time they missed a deadline. I was another sucker, I realized a little late that they are playing a game.

I am working with my CC company to get my money back, their blatant disregard for the FTC "Rule" is astounding.

Consider myself lucky I have a good credit card provider!

Yes, I've called you a shill because you're here doing the same thing countless shills in the past have done, where you try to defend S?K by "just asking some questions, just trying to be objective, just want to see some evidence." It's the sort of thing that people who have no proof of their own position try to do so as to appear informed. The irony here is immense. Has S?K delivered all knives? How would you know? Plenty of people here say they haven't. They aren't thieves? How would you know? Have you ordered a knife from them, and watched them put out years worth of new products all while not delivering yours? No? Hmmm....

Also, I find it amusing that you're attempting to portray your laziness as my problem. That pretty much sums up all your posts, really. You've already been told to go find the evidence yourself, because those posts ARE there. The posts where the owner of this site told Guy and Ellie they aren't welcome here anymore ARE there. The posts where all the timelines of the lies told and claims made by S?K ARE there. The only thing laughable is your belief that another adult needs to spoonfeed you. Wipe your mouth, tie your own shoes, and do your own search. I was there, and posted in most of those threads. Good luck.
I was one of those people that did not get my knife after an email that said it was built, completed ,and inspected to their high standards and then they sold it to people that said the 2nds were perfect and years down the road I still did not get it so I asked for a refund because I never know if the doors are going to remain open. Heck they moved 3 times it seems and now they are moving again. If everything is so perfect with Millet gone why are they moving again to a different state. Must have something to do with their LLC and dipping on folks once again. Lets say they take in 10 million in orders and keep 15% for restock fees on top of all the money they make on the lump sum they took in. I am one that thinks they are not getting money to build old models because in truth they have not put out that many models in the last 5 years and they keep adding new models. Their business model has been consistent over the years keep taking in money and make money on that money. They are aware that most will cancel after some time in the future and they count on that. I mean they took in 10K ish orders on the 7/7 at nearly $300 a piece so that is 3 Million Dollars and it took over 5 years to get them all out. I am will to say that 80% of the people canceled the orders so they didn't have to work that hard. Guy's own words were we sent out nearly 10K blades in 5 years so think about it they have something like 20 models out there which means a 5% completion rate. They had like 3 or 4 models made in that 5 year time so 2000 to 2500 per model sounds about right per model. It's safe to say that 90% of the money that goes into Survive for work never ever gets completed on purpose. 20 million in take in / with investment over 4 years made them 20 Million. I wouldn't be surprised if the move to TX will dissolve that LLC in ID and they just come up with something new or call it a day.

Did anybody else get the “Comeback Tour” newsletter?! I couldn’t believe it. Here’s the content:

Taking the leap to being our own manufacturer is paying off in a big way! Our quality is better than it has ever been, the shop is running smoothly, deliveries are way up, and we're getting on top of our backlog even more quickly than anticipated. Everything is going great now, but as you all know, getting here wasn't without its challenges. We put a lot of time, energy and capital into the company who was originally supposed to take over our production, only to have that investment not pan out. By getting our own new equipment, hiring some amazing people, and developing & optimizing all of our own production processes, we've taken the necessary steps to correct the situation quickly. We're delivering on our word where they couldn't and we're finally primed for growth as a new manufacturing company. For this next step we could really use your help.

Our original plan was to raise prices, to offset the phenomenal amount of new overheard we took on with a factory's worth of equipment, hiring all the employees needed to keep things moving, and to buy all the materials needed for a massive ramp up in production. The idea of raising prices just doesn't sit well with us though, so we're going to try something different.

If all the struggles getting to where we are now have taught us anything, it is how to do a lot with very little. As our own manufacturing company, we run a lean, efficient operation and we're prepared to do the work needed to take this to the next level. Rather than burdening you with higher prices, we're simply asking you to get involved by ordering one or maybe a few of the many great knives currently in production. With all of our manufacturing processes now refined, the additional materials and consumables are all we need to meet our growth goals and ensure we don't have to raise prices.

That's all you need to do to help, so now just sit back, relax and wait for your new knives to arrive. With our current manufacturing capacity and optimized processes, we can guarantee that even the latest models on the production schedule will arrive before Christmas, with most models arriving much sooner. I know we've said it before but it really is amazing finally being our own manufacturer.

This being a rapid growth initiative, the more you're willing to spend with us, the more you'll save. All of the discounts listed are for single orders, shipping to a single address. Large orders will ship out each time we have a full shipping box ready to go. Here's what we're offering:
  • Up to $999 = You're getting a great deal on the highest quality knives we've ever produced and ensuring we don't need to raise prices. As an extra thank you we'll include some model specific swag with your order.
  • $1,000 to $2,499 = You're adding a few knives to your carry rotation or collection at once, so we're offering you an additional 5% off
  • $2,500 to $4,999 = You're a super collector or the person tasked with heading up a group purchase, so reward yourself with 10% off your entire purchase.
  • $5,000 to $9,999 = You're a real knife player or you're probably considering reselling some of these on the side, so take15% off your order and think about all the money you're going to make on the secondary market.
  • $10,000 plus = You're most likely a small dealer who knows our quality and you've been waiting for a dealer program announcement, so go ahead and take 20% off your order.
If you're a large dealer wanting to get more involved than the options listed above, give us a call.
This is my favourite part! "That's all you need to do to help, so now just sit back, relax and wait for your new knives to arrive."
🤣🤣🤣

What a joke!

Where did people see that Survive was moving to Texas? I can think of two reasons to move to Texas, and only one of them is good (taxes).

Well it's just a hop skip and a jump from Texas to Mexico and with so few people headed SOUTH from the border maybe they are hoping there is no extradition...

They are definitely moving to Texas. They responded to a now deleted conversation that they have bought a bigger warehouse, and plan on moving in Q3 2021.
There's this from May 13th 2021?

The last fund raiser is probably to finance the move. There's a financial burn rate of living and maintaining the image of being a knife maker. After 1, 2 or 5 years there can't be a lot of money left to build the knives already paid for.

They've spent all the money they ever raised and don't have the resources to build the knives they've sold. So they have to sell more.

Where in Texas?
HJIQhK6.jpg

Sorry but the exact location of the top secret Drippings Texas facility is highly restricted due to the sensitive products they produce for many shadowy agencies.

Yeah that's the ticket. It's secret.
My guess is the LLC will be in TX and they will remain off site in MEX. It has been 6 years on the GSO 6 and they have not finished the 8, 10, 12, 5.1, 4.7,5.5, folders, 2.7, and I remember they said the move to Millet would make all that happen by Christmas that year "2020"and then they would take a break and only do small batches on some site but they didn't want their scam. Somehow COVID would risk E in the shop but not at the house. I think they expect a comet to impact with the rare space metal they need to finish their blade. Guy plans on flying into space to inspect meteors to get started on a mining operation to get the special ore they need to ensure the very best in blade tech is what I read on page once for future blades as they change in design and specs with each passing scam um I mean needed update. They really need to stop with the new this and that orders and focus on what they have not done. If they could at least finish 4 models a year I would be impressed. So far it has not even been 1 model per year and the wait will get longer and longer unless people get fed up and the only ones that don't cancel their orders are the chosen few. To all those that don't order Pre-Orders and run your mouth about wait times must be getting free blades or early completions and are incentivized to counter truth or you are a part of the company and using fake accounts to promote fake vaporware.
