Bad Survive! Deserves A Permanent Post In The Hall Of Shame

Did BladeHQ finally wise up and kick them off the ship, or did the zero integrity misfits miss a delivery deadline? No sign of “survive” on the website😘…Did everyday fiction use to work at Theranos in Investor Relations?

BladeHQ BladeHQ still has a listing for the company, which is unfortunate. Even if they ever do get stock, it will be at the expense of customers who have waited years for knives they already paid for...

craytab craytab until BHQ actually starts getting and selling the knives we can't really say it is at the expense of those waiting. I am not saying I don't expect them to get a batch before back orders are fulfilled but I am not going to assume that will happen.

I would expect they will get their knives at the expense of those that have been waiting for years. At the rate Survive are going according to even their own schedule tracker that they publish, unless BHQ's contract with them is open-ended on delivery, I believe Survive will have to short-change the old orders in order to meet delivery to BHQ.

Ha! Are you unfamiliar with how survive does business? 😉

So... uh....I noticed they had dropped a new video recently. Figured I'd check it out. Lo and behold, they're showing knife blanks now. A BUNCHA them. For the Vendetta series. And they even have two completed knives laying on top of the stacks of blanks. VERY BLACK knives. TACTICALicious. But wait....

He picks one of them up to show it, and I notice it looks like it has that corrugated bevel like many of the new Busse blades are coming out with. That's kinda odd. Seems quite a departure, and I hadn't noticed it in the depictions they put in their newsletters. Hmmmm... so he puts it back down on the stacks of blanks. Talks some more. Picks up one of the blanks, talks about it, puts it back down. WAITAMINIT!!!! That sounded... well... right! I backed the video back up to where he picked up one of the completed knives, and listened when he put it down again. Sonofabitch.... those are 3D printed knives. Or at LEAST the "metal" is 3d printed. MAYBE the scales are real .... non-plastic. Hard to tell.

Well.... at least they are showing "real" knives in their videos now.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

Survive should collab with qtrmstr. Their *state of the art facility and museum should be just the thing survive needs to get caught up and become a real knife brand to respect.

*shack the size of a broom closet.

Honestly though, at least qrtrdisaster got product made (in China) and then sold it. Survive sells without making product.

Are you referring to me?
If the shoe fits Guy.
Hell, I'll even bite. I searched, "survive knives" on a Google Pixel 6 and discounted the three paid ads at the top (Survive's site, Facebook page and a dealer carrying them).

But even if I'm dead wrong and Bladeforums threads are all buried on the 974th page of Google, it's STILL not the customer's responsibility to spend their resources hounding a company to deliver a bought and paid for product, and THAT'S what you're desperately trying to distract from.

You're trying to frame this as somehow Survive being innocent, because their customers didn't harass them enough to get the knives that they paid for in full.

I have been attacked so many times by shills saying did you ask for a refund when they missed the deadline which throws you back to they don't have a deadline. Unless they email you expected, may, or hope to clause that it will be done in a few months not years so you wait thinking oh I can wait 1 or 2 more months since they hit a snag. Then it goes right back to we don't have a date. Then they post on their site by Christmas all orders will be done and not a one was again. Now we will do you a favor on getting a knife in a steel we can never make again or a new steel that will hit production snags and you will have to wait years for a knife we don't plan on ever making for 90% of the people because they will ask for a refund by year 3. How many months have they said now they don't have production snags anymore because it is all in-house? Yet more snags and backlogs and excuses to rip people off. Trust me if I had an order with them I would be on the phone with the AG, BBB, and others. I wish others would report these expert liars.

The only folks getting their by Christmas blades are the shills and trolls. Yes a man got his Magnacut 5.1 before people who have been waiting since 2015 got theirs in 3v. Then they turn around and sell most of the multiple blades they order or are given.

I have a really good idea why you're afraid to answer a straightforward question. No problem ;)

Of course, it will differ somewhat between people.

He stated this thread was the 6th hit on Google for him (and a top result). I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest I've searched Survive! Knives considerably more than him yet Survive! Knives review shows up on the 4th page halfway down the page and it isn't even this thread but the one I highlighted. This 90 page, almost 1800 message long thread never showed up for me after 10 pages.

YMMV but I find it's interesting to see a cross-section of results. What shows up if you punch in a review for survive knives?
Well you need to add the words that customers who are disappointed would add to survive knives like complaints, fraud, crooks " yep that has an interesting 4 pop up link."

Anyone remember when they posted these lies about their progress? It was posted in Aug /21

Shop Update:

The GSO-3.5s are now all complete! The very last orders are either heading out the door this week, or the moment our last small batch of sheaths arrive from the talented folks at Armory Plastics. We will have a small handful of GSO-3.5 extras available as soon as those blades return from heat treat.

With the GSO-3.5 now functionally wrapped up, we are turning our focus to the remaining GSO-6 orders. Those have been going together well, so we expect to have all of these built by the end of next week and shipped by the week after. There will be some extras if you're quick.

With everything falling into a nice groove now, we're also working on completing the current GSO-12 orders as quickly as possible. We'll be having large batches shipping out throughout the month and we're projecting to have all current orders fulfilled within the next 30-45 days.

The GSO-4.5 production is wrapping up very nicely. Many orders are already built, so those will begin shipping out as soon as the first approved production batches of sheaths land. Similar to the GSO-12, we expect to have all of these orders wrapped up in about 30-45 days.

The Tac-4 and Tac-5 are about to hit the bevel grinder and then begin working their way through finishing. This is a very limited run, so we expect these to be wrapped up within the next 45-60 days.

The GSO-10 and GSO-8 are both working through surface grinding and bevel grinding right now, with blades getting finished in batches as time allows. We expect these to be wrapping up within the next 45-60 days.

Bevel grinding fixtures are being buttoned up for the TSK, so expect to start seeing these in the wild within the next 45-60 days!

The GSO-5.1 blades are currently at heat treat BUT all machining and grinding fixtures are already made and ready to go when they return. Additionally, we're wrapping up preproduction samples to get sheath templating all set up to avoid any delays in getting these in your hands ASAP. We expect to have the GSO-5.1 production batch wrapping up within 60-90 days.

The GSO-4.7, EDC-2, and a follow-up batch of TSK blades are headed off to heat treat! Preordering was very limited on these later models, so we expect to have these shipped out very soon after returning from heat treat, with an expected delivery timeframe of 60-90 days.

The GSO-3, GSO-4, GSO-5.5, Necker II, and Vendetta Series materials are being prepped and will begin perimeter machining shortly. We expect to have these last runs wrapping up within the next 90-120 days.

Absolutely all current production models will be wrapped up in time for Christmas!

How could All of those in-progress knives be impacted by unexpected delays? If half of them hit snags it would free up time to complete the others.

It seems SurviveKnives! didn't complete any of these plans? They all seem to be in different stages of production so there's no single point of failure.
