Terrible experience with SmedleyButler

I am starting to doubt your sanity. So let me just get this straight... i bought a real Strider then found a clone to match it exactly, kept the original and sold you the clone? Not even going to go into the fact that i would be really surprised if anyone on this board found a clone of an Arctic Grey DGG SnG in Cerakote for sale anywhere in the world - that little thing aside - here is what i am actually going to do:

Upon receipt of your return package i will take photos (i will not open the package), contact KnifeArt and Strider to send it in for authentication, attach the new label (taking photos throughout every step), send it in, post the official response when i receive it, post photos of the package as it comes back and then everyone here will see exactly who and what you are SmedleyButler. That should resolve this matter don't you think? Or are you going to come up with another wild story about how i managed to switch labels, packing tape and so on? How far will you continue to try to wiggle out of this while blaming me? Are you going to accuse me of maybe switching out the Ruby i have for sale - the one still in the original sealed factory packaging? Or maybe the Sebenza i just sold - the one that i sent the buyer a receipt for as well? Maybe the SMF i still have up for sale is fake too - why don't you just point that out and save everyone from buying clones.

Let me just tell you this SmedleyButler - the truth always comes out and guess what? It will in this case as well.

P.S. You need to get off that high horse of yours.

Wow man this guy hasn't once cussed at you and you talk to him like a dog. Step back a moment and understand thus is making you look terrible. You are going to do other deals on here I'm sure and most of those other deals are going to do a forum search of you and this is going to show up. I know after reading all this and your response I wouldn't deal with ya man. You can go on and treat people like this just think he trusted you and this is how you do the deal smh
 
I must agree that this dealer exclusive would be an odd choice for a clone. I'm not saying it can't happen but this appears to be a fairly limited run. Can the buyer explain specifically why he is so certain it's fake?

Good advice here. Can we please see a picture or 5 of the purported clone? There are many people here that can tell you immediately if the knife is a knock off or not. Also, the fact that the seller can and would provide documentarion proving the lineage of this knife getting swatted down seems odd. Something isn't quite right here. I'll leave that for the buyer and seller to divulge. One final thing, there is no need whatsoever to start insulting each other. This is not whine and cheese. So unless the goal is to piss of the mods and earn some red chiclets, it would be wise to speak like the mature adults you are.
 
Rounic - I'd be worried that the knife you get back is the same knife you sent him. Maybe he's trying to pull a switcharoo?

The sealed package is going straight in for verification. Not even opening it (but video/photo documenting). If it isn't what i sent then i involve the authorities.

I am good with that. Please SmedleyButler - if you have any integrity post photos of the aspects of the knife that made you think this was a clone. Since you know Striders so well, please show everyone what you saw that identifies it as a fake Strider. I've supplied all the proof i could possibly have and yet you continue to accuse me without an ounce of any.

I have more photos of the sealed box but I don't want to post the address label with the buyers address naturally. And I have photos of the receipt - all with IPTC Meta data with the dates and times.

I will do exactly what I said I would. If I received something that I thought was fake or in any way not matching the advert I would document it. I think most people would, unless there was nothing to document as in nothing wrong with the knife at all?

PM me the tracking # please by the way if you sent it already.
 
No offense on both side, but Rounic please verify your knife when you get it back, SmedleyButler may send you back a knock off and keep yours / the real one.
 
SmellyButter going on the "dont touch with a ten foot stick" list. Act like an adult. Its a shame that these threads have to happen. OP, hopefully the knife you receive is the one you sent. I hope this all works out the way it should.

You should not have sent the knife without collecting payment, what on earth would make you think that situation was going to end well????!!
Take the knife back, repost it for sale and be done. And collect payment before sending it out the second time:)
 
SmellyButler feels and sounds - well, smelly............I am curious to see what some strider guys think of the knife. As far as acting inappropriately/and rude ----- the butler did it
 
Nawww. That ain't happnin. Buyer's remorse is why "the deal isn't done until both parties are happy" doesn't work on this site.

Larry at KnifeArt was kind enough to reply saying he can verify that he did sell me this exact Strider model, however we both agreed that since its been in someone else's possession now - I'm basically screwed as I can get back a brick wrapped in a newspaper and will have no way to prove that it's not what I sent.

Looks like I'm screwed a bit here. Regardless guys, not passing the buck here. My mistake trusting the guy. If he sends back anything other than my knife I am just going to handle this offline. If it ends up being mine - I will re-list it (I'll let everyone who PMed me dibs) with a link to this thread.

Keeping my fingers crossed.
