The “Can’t leave anything alone” Thread

Do ya mean the anodized titanium on the scales? They were done by BladesWeLove. I'm fairly certain Steve uses a stencil for the anodizing, but I'm unsure of the process. I imagine it's probably a bit proprietary though.
While I liked the ano they did on my ZT 0470, the brightness faded quickly.

Update on the Mini-Bugout...
The advertised weight for them is just 1.5 oz.
After swapping out the Grivory for some Rogue Bladeworks carbon fiber: it now weighs 1.527 oz.
The weight stayed close to the OEM level, and it feels so much more solid!
And in spite of me taking it apart: it still works perfectly!!

I wanted to give my TOPS Prather War Bowie a bit more of a "primitive" look..... (I always thought this design would look right at home in a Lord of the Rings movie - think "Orc killer").

Interestingly, the forced patina clearly shows TOPS differential heat treatment. While obviously not a well-defined hamon line, you can certainly see the difference between the hardened vs. less-hardened steel.

The G10 scales on the Spyderco Renegade have a weird finger groove, like it was designed to be a liner lock:

The clip side is also contoured and thinned out:

Sort of uncomfortable to hold with that thin edge digging into your hand.
It took me a while to find this puppy so modding was questionable.
Do I alter this vintage beast or leave it be?
Well I figured I wasn't going to sell it, so out came the Dremel:

Better!
I'll finish it up by hand later.
Now if I could only replace the G10 with Micarta...
