So let me get this straight, Will Moon got pissed off at you for posting pics of HIS crappy work and then tried to convince you that somehow the shipping caused the fit of the backspacer to be uneven?
That's the most asinine thing I have ever heard. He is obviously just trying to make excuses for his shoddy craftsmanship. That's the sign of a person with no morals or ethic. Regardless, you were warned about this. You should have cancelled the transaction when you had the chance. Now let's see how long it takes Will to refund you.

In one of Wills recent youtube videos he discusses the issue he had with the orions a few years back on jerzeedevil and how it was damaging to his name. In his video he said that it was because people were mad that Moon used a pin system that was similar to one Todd Begg created. While in his video he makes it sound like all a misunderstanding, the issue is far more than that. He was just getting started with knifemaking (being a knife modder for awhile) and was selling orions. As a newish knife maker he was selling his knives for a HUGE price tag, but the quality and fit & finish was extremely poor. Due to design flaws with the balisong he was even intentionally sending dull butter knife like blades. It was a huge issue and his reputation is pretty much trashed in that forum. I supported Will Moon for a time as I enjoyed his designs and felt that his mistakes were honest being a new knifemaker unfamiliar on how to handle customer relations. Fast forward a few years, he still has the same issues and I regret ever supporting him. While his designs are nice, it appears that he never wants to put in the effort to put out quality work for the price he charges and with that I advise anyone...if you have not already received the message to not buy ANYTHING from Will Moon.
No, he knows that he did a bad job on the spacer. He's just getting pissy because someone called him out on it, and is now trying to make up ridiculous excuses instead of owning up to his mistakes and trying to improve his work.
This guy is a joke, and so are all the simple minded, clueless people who support him.
I just talked a friend out of spending about 3 grand on several of his knives. He was going to order directly until I showed him this thread. He bought another colt python instead. This guy's integrity is essentially non existent. I don't necessary care what people think of me, but it would kill me to be seen as such a poor excuse for a man from such a great community of knife enthusiasts. Terrible milling on that knife too. Maybe he should spend some of that dough he is pulling in on junk knives, and buy some decent tooling and the machinist handbook.

I'm pretty sure the machinist handbook can't cure will moon of being a raving asshole.
BTW, the pivot on my mk7 came loose again causing the blade to rub in the side and scratch the finish. I can't sell this piece of crap to anyone because I would feel guilty ripping someone off. My $135 Boker Kwaiken blows away any Will moon custom in fit, finish and flipping.

He would immediately delete it just like he deletes and blocks all the people on facebook an Instagram that call him out on his B.S.
The funny thing is; there's a bunch of comments on his IG page on recent posts regarding shipping delays that he's simply ignoring or doesn't seem to care about. "Business Acumen" seems to elude him.

He has lost quite a few followed on IG, at his highest he was at 7000+ followers. Now he is down to 2500 or so.
I can get over the quality issue, but his attitude has got to change before anything else!!
I am one of the persons who used to follow him on IG, not any more, and this is why. Notice how every picture he takes of his knives show No flaws, and once you get it in your hands nothing but Problems. I really do like his designs but my money will go elsewhere. What he needs to do is charge a premium prices for a flawless knife and slash the price in half for flawed peaces like in your picture!
If it is damaged in shipping, it is his responsibility.
The shipper is responsible for how well it is packed, as well as insuring the parcel of otherwise guaranteeing the value and condition.
Without even seeing your pics, I'm guessing it's not shipping
Will Moon has been exposed as a charlatan in virtually every corner of the net, yet folks still myopically send him money for what prove to be time and time again knife-like objects of poor workmanship and backed by shit-headed customer care.

I emailed him today just to get a feel for him by saying that I was interested in him making me a full moku-ti MK12, he said that he's too busy but come Spring he's re-tuning the design and I'll be first on his list. I even offered him $6,000 to make it right now, but he said he had to honor previous commitments. Also, he says that he's working on a new Red Shirt robot or something of that nature involving robotics and engineering. Idk guys, it seems like he's genuinely trying to turn things around....I think he deserves another chance. I mean, he sounded sincere in working out standing orders and such, and wouldn't even accept my $6,000 because it would be unfair to his other customers......
