Bad THE BAD Will Moon

I enjoyed roasting him about his butterknife balisong on the JD, hes a tool and it seems facebook is the place these guys run when the forums become inhospitable to them.

with all this negative feedback if he thinks hes some kind of master knife maker or has excellent customer service thats PURE DELUSION. He should go to a psychologist.

Facebook is the place everyone that does not know how to act on the rest of the internet goes.

3 posts and you are already attacking a maker. I could see if it was your order, but it is not. Its an order between your friend and Moon. Your friend should post the complaint. Your post is all hear say and is from a non impartial point of view. Its convenient to complain about a maker who was banned and can't defend his name.
This?! Hate to resurrect an old thread but people confused and anecdotal with gospel. Then you tell them that's just anecdotal and then "they say no! It really happened to my buddy. You calling him a liar?!"...
No I'm not calling them a liar but that's just the OED definition of " anecdotal " lol

Let's keep Latin out of the discussion. I was a Latin major once; while conjugations and declensions tortured students, Latin has done little to warrant attack in a knife forum.:)

A "Latin major once" so you stopped taking it, graduated with your bachelors in it, what? Stercosus est! Jk. Made the mistake of taking it as my on language credit b/c my uni was one of the only in the country offering Classical Latin taught as a spoken/living language.
Turned out to be useless in medical and legal classes but was a lot of fun. Favorite memory was old South southern professor greeting us every day in the honeyed Savanah accent of "Salve vos omnes" - hello, you'll - was a fond memory...fun story ;)

If you read later on, Recalcitrantamerican and I hashed out the difference after he read the rest of the facts and also heard from other people. He is a good dude and this thread actually help us become friends.

"ATTENTION: I will be listing Mk10s and Mk8s as they come available during the beginning of 2016. Keep an eye out for some interesting developments from the Moon shop during mid-January :)"

"This [knife] is spoken for, but I've been doing a little more intricate Cerakote work in preps for the Feb 28th sale."

So what's little Will up to these days, is he still screwing people in the knife community over?
I don't think you will find too many people here (or anywhere) that genuinely care. However, if you are concerned you can always go to him and ask?

I just remember his Facebook announcement for an upcoming Black Friday Sale where quite a few knives would be listed. I checked a few minutes prior to the launch and quite a few times at the time of launch and only 2 or 3 were listed. I suppose the other knives were "spoken for" prior to the launch and they were sold for the quick buck.

Why bother even announcing a "big sale"...just sell the damn knives and save everyone the headache.

I would hate to imagine how the people patiently waiting for their knives felt when they saw his big promotion.

A shameless self-promoter.

Wow sorry to hear about so much drama about this Maker,I just Scored a MK 10 Fallout SN2.Coo Sauce&Absolutely Love It♤♡

Just putting my two cents here... I have been a member since 2005 and have done a ton of BF deals both buying and some selling.

I was on a FB page that CRK enthusiasts hang and saw a number of really nice knifes come up for sale by Will Moon. I had dialog with him over about 48 hours on a specific knife and eventually made a payment via Paypal as F&F (yeah I know... dumbazz move). Done this a zillion times and thought nothing of it. I knew nothing of the GBU string here or anywhere else.

The Paypal transaction went down Friday morning the day before the Labor Day weekend. Will said he would drop the knife in the mail that day. Thought all was good.

Couple of days went by without confirm of the mailing so I pinged him on Facebook messenger Monday (Labor Day). No response that day but chalked it up to the holiday. Shot another FB message on Tuesday and still radio silence. Sent a third on Wednesday afternoon....

Got a little concerned and started poking around on GBU and found this and various other threads. Needless to say my concern level went up... about 100x.

Will responded around 5:00 PM Wednesday afternoon apologizing that he has been busy working on a few knives and would drop the knife in the USPS drop box that evening. He responded back with the tracking number. I watched it go through the system, biting my fingernails the whole time, over the next three days till it was delivered today, Saturday. Knife was received as described.

Was it a little sketchy that it was not mailed for almost 6 days?? Hell yeah. Was I worried the whole time I may get a box full of country air? Yep.

I don't know the guy outside of the this deal and have no reason/motivation to give him positive feedback.... unless it was earned. With the delay in shipping and the radio silence, the deal was neutral on the rating. But in the end I got a hell of a nice knife.

You can flame me if you think I'm BS'ing here to give him good pub, but again my history here shows I got no reason to fake the funk for anyone.

Just wanted to pass this experience along.
