The Bears' Den--Shirogorov Showcase

I've got a black shiro hat hidden away in a box. I will locate it when I unpack and move back in my house.

For the screws, I made tools. The bits I made put the pressure on the base of the slot walls, not the top. It fits well and tapers out so as not to touch the tops and booger them up.

But I just use a penny if they not too tight

Handsome chapeau, Scrim. I'm not a hat guy nor do I usually wear logo or other printed t-shirts. Do they have Shiro socks or u-trou? :p
 
It's been quiet here in The Bears' Den, so I'll post today before heading to Vermont for a long overdue weekend tomorrow.

After trying to decide on blade steel and price point and considerable casting about, I found a nice deal on what you see below and pulled the trigger. I ended up saying "what the heck" and springing for the M390 after all. Thanks to several of you for your emails, PMs, offers, and heads-ups and big thanks to Vlad for finding this baby for me and sending it along.

The wait will be a bit more Bear-able in my beautiful woods. Y'all stay away from my mailbox while I'm gone. :grumpy:

I gotta rush out to fit uniforms for a couple of my teams, but thought I'd post this on my way out the door. Just in this afternoon, and only one so-so pic in my wife's truck, but here she is fresh outa the box. All I can say is WOW!!!

This is really a great thread... I had never seen a thread dedicated to Shirogorov, finally!!
It's a long time that I'm keeping an eye on this company, their quality is really impressive. I hope soon to have the opportunity to have in my hands one of these jewels.
Unfortunately I missed the Shirogorov pen about a week ago here in the Exchange section, really nice! ChazzyP, thank you very much for your advice and for this thread, congratulations to your new F95 "turtle" and soon I hope to put a picture here..
 
I just shot this pick while recovering from Thanksgiving dinner. The boys have gone home and J and I are nodding off in our chairs.

I saw a knife I had sold in EDC IX Which knife or knives are you carrying today? and figured I'd shoot a pic of this one to post there. Not a great shot on my lap in bad light, but what the heck, I'll post it here too. Been kinda dark here lately, so maybe this'll give us a little bump.

I just love my new 95T. I think it's the best knife I've ever owned and it's been my EDC since I got it 2 1/2 weeks ago. A friend of mine sold his 'cause he couldn't bear to carry it. I can't bear not to....

I'm in a posting mood tonight--must be the turkey talkin'. Here's the new kid on the block with his brother Shiros. I told myself I was gonna sell the Tabargan when I bought the 95T, but that was just the more financially-sane CP talkin'.... Can't seem to find that guy around now that I have these four together.

You have a very great collection!! 4 Shiro.... And all too beautiful... Why there's not even a lanyard on the Tabargan?

95Turkey indeed, Scrim. :p Didn't think of using mine on the bird, but I did put a fresh edge on my Wusthoff chef's knife. With the time difference, I was just coming out of my turkey-induced coma when you were probably sitting down to feast. We've already been back to the fridge to pick at the left-overs. Seconds on pie, too....

Just haven't gotten to it yet, Jackal. I do have a nice Ti bead with blue anodized insets. Maybe I'll go see what I've got for cord and do it now.
 
I see you found us over here, CJW. The knives you posted and named for me over at Ted's Thread are really sweet and I think at least two of these are different.

The top one here is a Shirogorov Bears limited edition, no? Is that group over at USN?
Middle one is your blue twill CD F3?
And the last perhaps a CD 95?

I'll have to check out your vids over at IG.

The first one is most definitely a Shirogorov Bears Club (USN based) edition Neon Ultralite. Look closely at the bear emblem. The two halves of the face are S and B.

Second one looks very similar to that blue twill CD F3 but looks more like it's od green or black micarta.

Third one is an F5 Slim.
