The Bears' Den--Shirogorov Showcase

Congrats on your pickup, Chuck_Nunface Chuck_Nunface . I'm really taken with the blade on that new Gen5 model, but the original 111CF with fuller is an absolute classic and one that belongs in any true sleuth of Bears--it's the one I really wanted when it came to me over 5 years ago and one that I doubt will leave me even if another makes its way into my Den.

We did talk earlier about the 111's clip being shallow and stiff and I trust yours will ease up and break in like mine has. It didn't take the whole 5 years either. ;)

now, ChazzyP ChazzyP , I really have to struggle to see what gets sold when that Gen 5 eventually comes around again...

My middle son's HS car was a Mustang GT, Chuck_Nunface Chuck_Nunface . It lasted through college and another year or two. Dad sure did like to borrow it from time to time. Was your loaner one of the new electrics? That green light/gauge in the display could be a clue, eh?

Anyway, today was a Throwback Thursday with my old school 440C Tarbagan...

It was just a basic v6 2021, not even eco boost I don't think. But damn, if it wasn't tuned well. had lots of pick-up. Makes me want a sports car.

I haven't had a sports car since my college years' MGA. My two youngest had the Mustang GT mentioned above and a Camaro RS. I had a lot of fun borrowing those from time to time, then my wife bought a Mini Cooper after we were done with all our practical station wagons and mini-vans. That thing was a little rocket ship and handled great with its front wheel drive. It had so much juice it would have flipped over backwards if it was RWD. Now we've got two pick-ups (large and mid-sized) and a CUV Escape. Pretty ho-hum again. 😞
