Thin-Slice: also an excellent observation. The previous owner of this F3 G10 once sent it back to Shiro for some sort of Spa Treatment/Re-blasting of the blade...so the Shirogorov logo is there but faded (also obscured by the light reflection in this group photo), as is the RWL34 equally there but faded on the opposite side of the blade. But the blade, other than those faded bits of data, is in like-new condition from that Shirogorov spa treatment. Then it was given a flawless mirror edge (which you also can't really see in the one group photo, and oh, the action...) But I digress...great eye, Thin-Slice!

Question for you Shirogorov gurus regarding lock up. So I've flipped this 95T a million times now since I can't put it down and disassembled it for cleaning and lube. I'm noticing that the lock up is a bit later than it was when I first took it out of the box. So I was checking things and found the steel lock bar insert screw was a tad loose. Tightened up but no change in lock up. Being me I played with it a bit and found the insert could be shifted slightly before tightening the screw and that made huge differences in lock up. I could shift it one way and get a scary early lock up and a bunch of lock stick, shift the other way and I'm back to where I am now. Has anyone experimented with positioning this insert or seen this before? I'll get some pics to show the difference before and now
 
I could swear that u cant move the lockbar insert i also have the 95T and have disassembled it to bent the lockbar a bit to increase the detend but if i remember correctly is has a perfect fitted slot didnt think u could move it. Look at some earlier posts im sure there is a pic of the 95T disassembled lockbar

It's fitted extremely well and the shape doesn't allow it to rotate but it has a hair of play. I spent probably an hour fiddling with it last night and it most definitely can be "adjusted" a teeny tiny amount before the screw is locked down. I was able to apply pressure with my thumb before locking down the screw and depending on if I pushed the insert or not changed it's resting point when tightened. When pushed in and locked down, the lock would engage way early and have noticeable lock stick. If I slightly loosened the screw when the blade was locked up the insert would sort of align again and the lock up would be a bit later. Kind of interesting just curious if anyone has played with this before.
 
Also maybe put a tad bit of blue locktite since its the pressure point. I also dont fiddle with it for 24 hrs to make sure its dry

Anybody know if the F3 comes in production CF version? I have seen plenty but all were CD.

Yes, but lately, I only see colorful G10 versions. I have one with production CF scales and blue anodized liners.

Being an engineer, you know at these tight tolerances it won't take much of a shift in geometry to make a huge difference. I'm actually surprised there was any play in the LB insert at all. It hasn't been something I've experienced in any of my Shiros.

Coiledwire, my friend, oh so close...but...#1 is not complete, #3 there is an actual name for the large model beyond just Asymmetric "Large", and #9 is also close but not complete, i.e. not the exact model you listed but is a Special Bear's Edition, #4 of 30 made. You sir, are extremely close...but...the survey SAYS...we do not have a winner yet. Wonder if i could do a give away or if that would be considered an infraction and the mods would ding me for doing so. Hmmmm, anyone know for sure? Don't know if any mods see this and can provide an answer. :)

Ok, 1 is a decepticon version 1, more detailed for #9 is a neon ultra light special bears edition in s30v. I know because you beat me to it when it was posted on the exchange. :) However, I'm lost on #3. I'm not familiar with CKF. No winner chicken dinner for me.

Im afraid having a layard bead on my shiros. Had the ones on the KA CRK and it danged the clip a bit.
