The Bears' Den--Shirogorov Showcase

I see some shiro's with what looks like a round blue plastic with the bear logo on the pivot screw, is that just decorative and stuck on there with double-sided tape?

That's just a sticky-back that comes on a brand-new knife from the workshop. Most owners just take that off and put it on the back of the COA, customs cert, or on the box. It's certainly not meant to remain on the knife.

I don’t think any of the Shiros I’ve bought came with this sticker. Was I never truly part of the Den?

Always were and always will be, my friend. Not getting a sticker at least saved you from the gross error of leaving it on--an offense that calls for automatic expulsion from the warmth of the Den and out into the snow.

Well you better. See above.

The only person I recall thinking it was part of the knife was that twit ApostleP in one of his asinine YouTube reviews. Duh.

Curious what your reservations are about ApostleP? I'm not partial either way, just curious.

The one thing I'm not thrilled about on some Shiros is the 3 little bars they use as a backspacer. I get that it's protection from the blade but as a design choice it leaves me scratching my head.
