I was shooting some pics today of my CRKs and have been handling a lot of new knives from other makers lately. I was thinking that I've been neglecting what's probably my favorite knife and got out my trusty 95T. The minute I got it in hand and flipped it out I knew I was right about that. Willey decided he had to horn in when I went to shoot a pic.

BTW, Willey's first family had to give him up and he came to us from the shelter, but he appears, most appropriately, to be a Siberian Forest Cat.

Great Knife and Cat!! I love the Cat pics with knifes thread as my wife volunteers to trap, neuter and release the Ferrel cats in our city she has saved over 1500 of them. I need to show a few of mine that have been acquired over time Cats and Knives that is.

OK, how about a Shiro bead, then?

I got this the other day on the Exchange for a sweet price and it should be here tomorrow. Now I've got to decide which knife to add it to. My 111 has a nice ti and CF bead, the Python has a tannish ti bead that matches well, the 95T has the modest ti bead but it's a user and I don't want anything too big on it. My Tabargan has a bright ti barrel with blue anodized insets that looks good with its blue anodized scales. I can barely squeeze 440 cord under its pin, though and this new bead looks like a pretty big one.

Will I have to buy another knife? Thank the Shiro Gods that Vlad sold that gorgeous CF Dr Death, 'cause he really had me leaning!

I've been looking, my due diligence to find the right knife. I have a question for you in the know about these knives.
I recently saw a custom division Shirogorov and the inside handle was stamped so.
Shirogorov's web site is in Russian, their paper work is in Russian, the 'birth cards' are in Russian, why is the knife stamped in English? A possible counterfeit?

I've had a couple Custom Divisions and all were in English.

I got the bead and it's not small, but not real big either. Light, beautifully machined and finished.

Chazzy show us ur Hati. Is it G10 or CF.

Unfortunately, I have no Hati. I almost pulled the trigger on one last week, but traded for something that came less expensively else instead.

Well, I've been selling off some knives that I like, but don't get used or carried, and putting the money into fewer, higher-end pieces. I sold a couple yesterday and the Hati I almost traded for a week ago was still there at a sweet price, so now I have a place to hang my new bead. Should get here Monday...

Got my roller bearings in from Valera (dept_13_knives) and installed them today after work. Completely changed the feel of the knife. Maybe it's in my head but the action and overall feel feels more solid. These will take some breaking in according to Valera and especially since I already had a bit of wear tracks from flipping this thing a thousand times every day so it's not freely dropping closed yet. But it's already smoother than the ball bearings. Love it even more now. Oh and bearing quality is absolute perfection.

Niceee. I can tell u though i bought me some ceramic bearings and its is a rocket now even more so. I had increased the detend strength a tiny bit and the ceramics i feel like when i flip it hard it will fly out of the handle frame

Nice. Yea I was really surprised at the wear, I'll have to take a pic next time it's apart. Just a small section had some wear you could see and feel. Maybe I had the pivot either too tight or too loose and was just riding on that part.
I bet the ceramic balls feel like butter! I think these rollers will break in nice too. Just something about the roller design was calling my name and the custom division price tag was not haha.

I think its more perception that the rollers have a better feeling but i cant say for sure since i dont own a roller shiro. I still think though that ceramic bearings especially if high grade cant be beaten since surface finish is just perfect, better than steel
