I like where you’re going with this! You know how many times I’ve almost bought a second one of these to “adulterate”, they have such a great canvas to customize!
Next time I have this taken apart, I am strongly considering doing a satin job on the main flats of the scales… 😲

Thanks! It was really difficult staying inside the machined lines with a wetted sponge. It bothers me a bit, but I’m hoping that it wears off. Otherwise I’m going to have to do something about it.
Lightly Sand the areas where you got overspill. It’ll come off. That’s the beauty of anodization. It’s only on the surface. If you don’t like it, you can always remove it and do it over again. You can remove it by sanding or chemically with a little Wink. Super simple.

Yeah, exactly. I seem to recall (from quite awhile ago) that a paste of OxyClean will remove it as well. Same issue with any liquid though, it’s difficult to control keeping it exactly along an edge. I did pretty well with the sponge piece itself, but occasionally the electrolyte (water + baking soda) would go where I didn’t want it to, and it doesn’t take much to mess up the look at the edge.

Going to roll with it as-is for now and see how it looks after awhile.

Bronze CF stellar arrived today. In love.
