Nice soft leather and goes well with the Bunny. It is a snug fit just right for the bunny to snuggle into 😂
And my Bunny made it here as well, a special one that I was able to make a swap to get my number

Apologies mate.
My drunken raving does not translate into any sensible language.
Kadaitcha: Central Australian Indigenous shamanic juju.
Seppo: An American
Hope that clears it up a bit.
Cheers.
I always thought it was funny the Aussies calling is seppos
Cause they think we are full of...well stuff you find in septic tanks

😂

Number 488 showed up yesterday and haven’t gotten a chance to take a decent picture yet. First impressions is spot on with earlier accounts, perfect size, snappy action, and beautiful covers to boot. I did notice that the covers do have an interesting “flame”to both sides which I’ve never seen before and it’s really striking. Thank you at everyone involved, this knife was absolutely worth the wait. I don’t want to imagine the logistics of getting these shipped in the middle of the holidays but I know it must have been a Herculean effort. All in all I am very grateful to be able to get one. It will go straight in the pocket.

That's pretty cool GT. I had to go refresh my memory regarding perfect numbers. Which led to briefly reading about Euclid. Which led to reading about non-Euclidan geometry. Which led to...
Quite a...um...rabbit hole I went down o_O

Now I'm looking at pictures of trains View attachment 2039130

Cut a slice of tomato and sliced an apple, so it works
(No pic. I ate the apple and tomato 😇 )

Forty-two is the ASCII code for the symbol * also known as the asterisk. This symbol is often thought to translate to anything or everything. In this instance, 42 = everything, the meaning of life.

Fortunate I am to have friends that helped make it happen, thanks again and a very happy New Year!

#456 arrived Friday. I’ve only briefly had it out to take a look and post some pics here. This is really nice, snappy, I can promise it will be carried and used.

Thank you to Spark, Charlie C., GEC, Frank, Gary, Meako - and members who make this sub-forum a community worthy of such a fine knife.

Excellent! 👍👍👍

Definitely nap I never pass a chance to nap with the wife

Take a nap by the mailbox, its obvious really 😁

I chose the nap. And it turns out it didn't matter anyway. The mail arrived three hours later than normal, so it wasn't in my mailbox when I got up from the nap. Anyway, 498 reporting for duty. Many thanks to Spark Spark waynorth waynorth for all the work they put into this!

Its originaly cockney rhyming slang.

Septic tank=Yank

Why do British people call Americans septics?

The cockney rhyming slang and Australian derogatory slang term septic (and in the Australian case, seppo) derive from rhyming "yank" with "septic tank".

Now that’s a good one! Are you going to have “DON’T PANIC” engraved on the reverse bolster? 😉😁

No system is perfect. This year actually went very smoothly IMO. After all the sour grapes last year I really wondered if we’d even be able to have a 2022 knife. Shipping knives and cross-referencing forum usernames to make sure everyone who ordered one actually qualified is a huge amount of work so it’s not surprising a few seem to have slipped through. Short of releasing a list of all usernames who have preordered a knife and letting volunteers on the porch actually make sure they meet the rules, or maybe writing a script that could check post counts, member status, and post locations? I think the way it was handled this year was pretty good.
I too have come to the conclusion that no system is perfect!! There are always a few cracks to slip through! I thank Kevin for distributing most of the knives!!
