The Case Barlow is BACK

Does the saw cut go the same direction and same pattern on both sides ? Interesting one posted on previous page here.

Pile side on mine actually has a bit finer saw cut - kinda like my '60s redbone Case Barlow.

This is my fourth of the new Case Barlows. All have been nice, but this one is undoubtedly the nicest so far. Like all my others from this run, the fit & finish is about as good as it gets; the pull is just about right (for me, anyway); and it just plain looks good. The saw cuts on mine are fine on both sides, like my old well worn Case XXs' & one side's straight & the other is at a diagonal. Makes it kinda' unique like some of the others shown here. The edges on both blades were kinda rough, but a few passes on the fine Sharpmaker rods fixed that. Here's a couple crappy pics for now, but I doubt this is the last time you'll see this knife on the forum here.

Great looking Barlows guys!

I emailed the place I ordered from and was told that they haven't received the shipment of Barlows from Case yet. I know where I won't be shopping next time

Received 2 of them, one is ok the other is like the one previous posted, wrong way saw cut on one side. In general these are the poorest quality ones I have received from this run of Barlows. You would think that Case could get saw cut right, not that difficult.

Wow, I thought the first example was a one off accident, but it appears that Case has a real issue with figuring out which way to orient the sawcut. I've had serious bad luck with Case knives in the past and I'm not feeling too optimistic about this one.

The email I received said that Case was running behind on production of these Barlows, so I'm wondering if they ran into issues?

Probably more due to supply and demand .
