The Club and Improvised weapons thread (Post your Handy work!)

I.N.F.K--is the one you have labeled as "penetrator" made from a broken/reground epee blade, grip, and pommel sans bell guard? Looks a lot like it to me.

I'll need to snap a pic of my "bunny thumper" even though it's nothing fancy. It's the handle off of a Condor Woodworker Axe (a "Grade B" that I sold as just the head) and the egg-like shape at the end is great for concentrating the force of the blow. Offed two meat rabbit today with it.

Cleanin' up in my garage and I found an old Tire Repair Kit for fixin' flats, now I've posted this pic before but I couldn't find it so I shot a quick pic for you folks.

Now the Repair Kit was $40 and it came with 2 handles 1 with the reamer and 1 with the plug needle.

What I find interestin' is the quality and heft of this simple tire tool and the bad ass look as a substitute dagger the reamer makes, it alos breaks down and the dagger point is replaceable if it breaks.

Kinda looks like somethin' Crawford woulda made.

I thought my tire repair kit was formidable, that one is pretty badass.

As for that oosik,

ODE TO AN OOSIK

Strange things have been done in the Midnight Sun,
and the story books are full---
But the strangest tale concerns the male,
magnificent walrus bull!

I know it's rude, quite common and crude,
Perhaps it is grossly unkind;
But with first glance at least, this bewhiskered beast,
is as ugly in front as behind.

Look once again, take a second look -- then
you'll see he's not ugly or vile --
There's a hint of a grin, in that blubbery chin --
and the eyes have a shy secret smile.

How can this be, this clandestine glee
that exudes from the walrus like music?
He knows, there inside, beneath blubber and hide
lies a splendid contrivance -- the Oosik!

"Oosik" you say -- and quite well you may,
I'll explain if you keep it between us;
In the simplest truth, though rather uncouth
"Oosik" is, in fact, his penis!

Now the size alone of this walrus bone,
would indeed arouse envious thinking --
It is also a fact, documented and backed,
There is never a softening or shrinking!

This, then, is why the smile is so sly,
the walrus is rightfully proud.
Though the climate is frigid, the walrus is rigid,
Pray, why, is not man so endowed?

Added to this, is a smile you might miss ---
Though the bull is entitled to bow --
The one to out-smile our bull by a mile
is the satisfied walrus cow!

I'm thinking of making a repro of the Peskett close combat weapon. Odd little device, but would love to add one to the collection.

This was either an ornamental staff or a part of an ornate piece of furniture..

It was snapped off in an op shop and I picked it up for $25.

I cut it off and made the handle section. I was going to do a leather wrap but I really like the feel of the smooth wood.

Its a beast..

I just made one tonight, I've been looking for a pool cue to mess with and found one ont he side of the road (love free stuff) while picking up a big pile of fire wood someone wanted gone. I cut it at the joint between the 2 pieces, then gave it a handle with electrical tape (until I can get grip tape). I did sand it a bit and made it look better. this must have been a heavier weight pool cue, because it feels heavier than the one I usually play with ant that is a 20 oz. cue, i'd guess that this was a 21 or 22 oz cue. Hits hard. after seeing it, my dad wants me to make something like it for my sister to keep in her car when she moves to knoxville (i've got a good sanded axe handle for her)

Made this from a hame top cane handle I got online, a 1 1/8" piece of oak, and a copper end cap pipe fitting

Plastered about 10 coats or so of outdoor spray on spar urethane wood protector on the oak. I think it came out pretty nice.

Cool !

I know this thread is a bit old but I just now found it. And I've got my own bludgeoning device to add.

I got the perfect name for that thing...The Pummel Pipe!

Actually I've already got a name picked out for it; Bubba. Because there's no way this thing qualifies as Mjölnir. Then again it might be Mjölnir's cousin from the south since this has trailer park redneck written all over it.

you should pour molten lead into the head and let harden, lots of mass behind it then....then again, might make it a bit too unwieldy

I considered a number of things to make the front end heavier. But at 3.4 pounds for such a short overall length it's hard enough to swing as is.
