Some of the best bludgeons come from convenient material. It is likely aluminum - solid bar though. Part of a broadcast studio camera control system that was being trashed. It feels great in the hand and I wrapped it in gaff tape. I plan to wrap/lace the whole thing in deer skin I've got laying around. It feels... good. She lives next to the driver's seat in my car.

I hope you don't put an eye out with that.

I want to play! Here's mine...I found this in an antique store, and paid a stupid amount of money for it ($40) but I don't regret it. It's a Railroad Brakeman's club, probably from the 40's or 50's. It has a label with the makers name (CAN'T BREAK 'EM) and UPRR LINK stamped into the wood. I assume UPRR stands for Union Pacific Rail Road.

It's a very stout piece of American Hickory. Kind of like an axe handle on steroids. It feels like a real bone crusher in the hands. Although it was designed to lever brake valves open and closed, these were commonly wielded as weapons when the need arose when they were in common use on the RR yards. Evidently many a hobo or scab became acquainted with the business end of these things back in the day.

I bought it as an interesting historical artifact, but I keep it handy just in case I ever need to call it back into service. ;)

I got inspired... The same primitive from above. Now, it returns to the side of the car seat. ;)

Here is a Germanic warhammer I'm doing as a collab with Serge Panchenko. He will put the handle on it. It's a wrought iron body, damascus head and W2 forge welded into the spike. Obviously not done yet.

Voltron or Optimus Prime's sword???

Noctis Lucis Caelum motor sword.
From the new Final Fantasy video game.

I made it for a client that needed it muy pronto for a Cosplay convention thingy.

I had never even heard of it before then.
The motor is real but does not run of course.

I like the Germanic war-hammer head!!!

That's just plain ridiculous. . .in a good way though!!!

Ed.... wow never seen an edged escrima stick like lupita before. Jesus!
A guy I used to work with was a seargent in the phillipino army back when they were having firefights with rebels and he is just sickly scary with any type of stick etc. A trained kali guy with a couple of those would be like a human blender.

Thought I'd bring this thread back to life and see if the Winter allowed some projects to get done.
Cold Steel War Hammer.
