For those saying they keep coming back to the thread, it gave me a chuckle.

However when the OP stated he is a CS fanboy then kind of tossed my hopes for substantive reads out the window. Poof!
In my experience, fan boys are the least greatest purveyors of objective information. Yet, have to admit most opinions are subjective by nature so there's that. Heck, as long as fan boys provide some proof and decent reasoning, you might catch my ear.
Thanks to ya'll who've not only stated why you do or don't vouch for the AD-10, you've provided similar references to other contenders. Now the Max4 is on the radar as remembrance of the Code4 too. Like some of ya'll the Code4 is one that almost pulled the trigger on a few times but never did.
Speaking only speculatively, since haven't actually tried the AD-10, a few things stand out and pose some flags. Not green flags like go, buy me, but more like flags of the volcanic lava flow hue.

First the grinds and blade thickness appear to be suited only for heavy and hard tasks and thus might lack finesse cutting through lighter more delicate ones. The thumb studs equally beefy in conjunction with the heavy lock back indicate sore thumbs on the horizon. I've also never been a huge thumb stud guy anyway and if I can help, wherever possible, I'd opt. for flipper tabs (front or back), Spydiehole, auto-fire push button, or plain momentum and swing action like on a balisong. Also, with so many great new and innovative locking systems, the lock back is down, down on the list of preferred lock types.
Well, Christmas is upon us and wanted to take the time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Collecting knives is a blast, a learning experience, and a good way to be reminded of things worth living for in this crazy world and crazy times. Yes, Thanksgiving has past but doesn't mean we can't reflect and be grateful for A) having jobs and money to buy knives, B) Great artists and makers who put their work out there for us to marvel, use, and enjoy, C) a good enough economy able to hold this hobby, D) somewhat like-minded people to share this hobby with, and F) a good place, Bladeforums to do such a thing. Let us also take a moment to remember the true meaning of Christmas and have yourselves a Very Merry One!
