The Cold Steel AD10 is the best knife money can buy.

Well…when one titles a thread with what they consider to be “fact” rather than opinion , you should be prepared for all kinds of responses. Blanket statements and speaking in absolutes is ignorant and insulting (and “ridiculous”, see what I did there?). Haha
Man, you must love the freedom...

The AD-10 is probably one-of-the-best models, within the Cold Steel branding, along with the 4 Max. A few others within their marques are the: Spyderco Chinook, Benchmade Adamas, Zero Tolerance 0300, and SOG SEAL XR. "Best of" lists are subjective at the very least. It's always interesting to hear the choices of fellow knife afficianadoes.

Man, I love that lineup!!

Lots of Cold Steel haters on this forum.
I can laugh at OP semantics and love CS knives at the same time. This is correct statement.
I went through probably 15-20 CS knives before keep the 6 I currently have.
why I’ll never buy AD10? Mainly because of the blade geometry. I love the handle with the exception of the pommel part, love the simple and solid lock. That’s about it. IMO blade is too thick, I like to see it if not longer, at least little bit more pointier. Originally I did not like the flat grind, reading the thread found out they make model with hollow grind and this would be the one I opt for because I like to use my knives and they take enough sharpening To stay away from thick, FG blades. Hollow grind gives me less hassle sharpening long term. S35VN is good steel, for what they sell the knife I personally would prefer S90V.
‘So in this order are the reasons I’d never buy this knife: blade geometry and thickness, steel and I’ll add price point.
I don’t find it terribly expensive for what it is, but with this geometry and specs of the blade, I’d pay $50 less for it.
Also to add: I’m 100% agree with the other posters suggesting Finn Wolf, even with thinner blade, I think it’s better knife for some applications.
‘Hope you’re happy now, knowing that you got one less Cold Steel hater.

The freedom. You know, you must love it. You know, hangin' out in knife forums and stuff. Saying cool stuff like, "that's not a knife, this is a knife!" 🤣
Everyone should love freedom in any form, do you?
And looks like you’ve done the same thing you’re accusing him - your first post basically reads: “ This is a knife, nothing else is… “ 🤣

I had both the 10 and 15 at one point.

sold the 10 kept and daily carry the 15. I kept the 15 simply because of its novelty and ability to open and close one handed.

that being said in should have kept the 10 also. The handles and clip are nicer I think. Less rough on pocket material.

No need to shout! ;)

Personally, I like the Code 4 better than the AD10, which I've handled but never owned. However, I did own an AD15 for awhile, which is similiar to the AD10 in size/wt, but sold mainly because I felt it was too big/fat/heavy to carry.

Still have 3 other CS knives that I probably should sell because I have no real attachment to or affection for them, including a 4" Luzon, Ti-Lite and Hold Out 2. Also picked up fake SRK along the way which I'd give away; have no idea how it cuts but it looks pretty good for what it is.

The only one I'd keep would be the Code 4. which is slim/light and has a CTS-XHP blade that makes it great for an EDC as well as a hiking/camp knife.

Had one, it was quite sharp, but as I tend to forget, the spear point aspect of it didn't suit me so off she went, but, I'm leaning towards getting one of the drop point Voyagers, the XL seems cool but most likely not very practical for my use, but cool none the less. The Large might work out ok, I'll get back to you guys/gals on that ;)

The Voyager XL is a fantastic knife, and I suppose the L-sized one would be more practical. I just wish the handle was a tad bit more refined (the pistol grip works, but the shape just looks strange, as if it was designed for the most bizarre pair of human hands). Other than that, it’s a great user.

It was designed for multiple grips .

Very well designed , if your hands match the sizing .:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Sorry can’t let go of this - OP wins!

…So, you really think a factory produced CS AD-10 is better than a custom AD-10 made by Demko? C’mon dude… 🙄
Better VALUE by far !

Otherwise ...not so much .
