The Hinderer bug

Good idea! I made the mistake of opening my gun safe one day when she was standing behind me....that did NOT go get well. She thought all black guns where the same one.

I'm going to be honest, I'd never really looked at ZT's 0562, as I glanced and just saw, eh another hard use overbuilt thick behind the edge knife that won't be great at cutting, but after doing my research and watching some reviews, I am super impressed. I'm honestly planning on buying my very first Hinderer designed knife from the local knife shop if they have one in stock! I may get the Hinderer bug here soon!

If you are looking for super slicing folders, Hinderer abnd ZT should be on the bottom of your list. It does not matter which grind you get. Most spydercos will easily out-slice any ZT or Hinderer. Now just for the record, I am not bad mouthing ZT or RHK as I have multiple of each brand and I like them all. Just want you to be prepared for what you are getting.

BAN HIM!

The spearpoint, skinner and wharnie can be descent slicers, the slicer is not a good slicer unless reground , for me anyways.
Beans is putting an edge on gen6 M390 slicer for me , I will post some photo when it gets back here.

You have the tri-way pivot in the gen2.
The detent is not as strong as in my ZTs but it has grown on me and I think I prefer the detent on the Hinderer now
The action is perfect with the ball bearings

I want a Battle Blue Stonewash Spearpoint or Slicer grind Half Track. I don’t think they exist. I’d even take just an all Stonewash Spearpont/slicer. Too many Tantos out there.

I’ve really got to figure out how to get a Full Track now. I did nothing but watch videos about it last night.

I've owned a ZT0562CF and ZT0392 before and have often looked at XM-24s and nearly pulled the trigger.

Now that they addressed a few of the things that kept me away (lockbar insert, upgraded from S35VN to 20CV, no longer stuck with nylon washers, stronger detents) I'm really struggling. I'd just hate to spend 595 and then get an off centered blade or something. I would probably get pretty deep into the knife later with all bronze anodized hardware/screws and a bronze LBS and if one ever became available, dropping 200 on a full titanium slab. For that kind of $$$ invested I'd want the knife to be more or less perfect.

All I want is a pond scum scale. I only have $275 invested in this only due to it being a trade and it's a ridiculous value.

So I'm not interested in dropping money to customize. It's a perfect worker and has zero wear still.

I just cant find a 3.5 pond scum scale for the life of me. It reminds me if a swamp thing action figure I had when I was a kid.

Today I had to use it at work with super thick winter gloves since it was 15 out and windy in the morning. Pretty impressed.

Nice - found the exact one I want. Sort of. What does the "two-tone" blade mean exactly - hard to tell from the pics and description.
"Stonewashed Two Tone 20CV Blade."
On this one for instance:

Has anybody ever seen a Slicer grind or Spear grind Half Track? In stonewash?

The original edition of the Half Track was in a spear point style blade. Rick recently said that a run of those are coming soon with the Triway pivot. I'm definitely looking forward to it.
