Which style for the satin HOGB8?

  • Regulator blade and handle shape, with .30+" thickness, but in satin INFI

Yes it is, next pic after the regrind, the bevel on mine is like 30 degre one side and 15 degre the other lol, it will be much better with a convex zero grind

Does anyone know the thickest stock ever issued with Res-C? Just curious.

Or could anyone at the shop speak to what the tang thickness limit is for a Res-C handle? Garth?

RIGHT--good point. I'd forgotten about those. Don't know if that particular Res-C handle design is the only one set up to take the thicker tang, though.

So, qualifying again, anybody have a "standard" (Basic-type) Res-C handle with a blade that mic's .285" thick or thicker?
 
Both handle designs are pretty much the same thickness in their thinnest points around the tang. Not sure I can see where it would be an issue for the extra .15". The reg handle just gives you more padding less slip with the SAR 4/6/7/8 like butt.

Welllllll, there's one way to find out. The crew could throw a couple 7.62x.308's together and send them out to the HOG B8 Test Team for evaluations and trials.;):thumbup:

Aww shuck's Tom, I was gonna wait and see how good the long range zoom on Stumpy's camera is. :D Funny how nobody figures out my location hint. :p
