This isn't the place to get into a deal that I cancelled over a year ago, but just so my name and the record is clear Brian (thedemonbeast) is certainly entitled to his opinion/feelings, but I never did anything dishonest or unscrupulous with him.

I cancelled a deal for a knife that I didn't want to make in the first place, and that part was my fault for lettng myself be convinced to do something I wasn't comfortable with. The whole ordeal lasted a little over a year (probably 14-15 months) and after making and heat treating three blades, all of which I paid for, I decided it was time to move on. Brian sent a deposit towards the end (I don't take money upfront but he insisted multiple times) which I had for around 3 months or less, and I refunded it before he even asked for it when I cancelled the deal.

This was all concluded around March of last year, I don't know what it has to do with anything now. I certainly took longer on the knife than I wanted, but it was completely custom and I was fairly new to knifemaking. Sometimes it just goes that way.

Bullshit Sam...You had me waiting 3 freaking years for that knife and gave excuse after excuse!! First you really wanted to make it and I fully supported you on that. You never once told me you didn't. Then about a year and half later, you said you were working on the blade and noticed that the steel was thinner on one part!! You said you were frustrated and you wanted to take a break from it. I agreed, was very patient with you. So then we discussed you making me a regular bowie knife and agreed to that. You said you could have it done in 2 weeks. 2 weeks came by and I inquired about it! You said you didn't start on it yet and that you had a surprise for me and showed me and said you started back on my knife! I was frustrated but kept it in check! Sending you 3/4 of the deposit was as an incentive to finish my knife but also because you said you needed to buy more materials and didn't know how you were going to be able to. Granted, you reluctantly accepted and you kept telling me time after time that you made me a VIP customer and my knife came before all others!! Excuse after excuse you fed me for 3 years...Missed deadlines!

You got mad one day because I finally got very frustrated
After the long 3 year wait. That knife was my design idea from the beginning and I can Prove it!!

We got past the heated discussions and you agreed to continue making my knife!! But then a few days later and you notified me saying you had thought it over and the knife was causing you problems, and you Cancelled!! After I waited 3 yrs and ate your bs VIP status crap!!

Then after you cancelled on me, you said you were going to go ahead and make the knife!! I later learned you made it for a customer who offered you more money that the $850 you were charging me!! And you claimed My Design idea as your Own! For 3 years I kept having to boost your ego and tell you what an awesome knife maker you were.

You also kept telling me about other customers you cancelled on because they didn't like something about the knife you made and wanted you to do it over!!

I promised you I would never come here to BF and tell about this!! And I have honored my word to you and have never mentioned it.

But you opened this up with your bs crap about me waiting a year...Complete horse shit! I waited 3 damn years! I can prove that too!! So Sam, if you are going to tell the story, Pls tell it right...the truth...and not some bs!!

Even after it all, all I wanted from you was a simple meaningful apology!! And even now you still refuse to give me one!! You claim you did nothing wrong!! You know better than that buddy!!

But I did finally get my knife made by a Real knifemaker!! He might of missed some deadlines UT he didn't run from his commitment like a scared little chicken!! He held his own and Finished My knife!

I kept waiting for a simple apology from you. I even complimented your work on here awhile back, back when rumors were going around about you! I even sent you a heartfelt email telling you I forgave you, which I did but it still stayed festered up!! And even today, you are too Freaking proud to just simply say "I'm sorry Brian, I messed up!" It's easy to say Sam! I say it at times even when it's Not my fault!! It's called Being Humble!! Buy yourself a book on it bro...study it Good!!

We were the best of friends and You Screwed Me! But now, since you opened the door and I can tell my side...Maybe Now all of my built- up frustration towards you will finally go away!!

Brian

PS...All I wanted to do was come here and tell my side of what happened! Since Sam Wilson opened that door, I was Finally able to share what has been festering in me for so long!!

Now, however, it is done and over! He shared his side, I shared mine! Not getting into convincing people about it all!! It is done and over with now!! I will discuss it No More!! I will not reply to anything regarding it either!! It is Squashed now as far as I am concerned!!

Brian

Stay on topic or don't post. Too many personal insults, cheap shots and off topic crap.

I see you gave me an infraction!! I sure hope you were fair and gave the other guy, Sam Wilson, one as well...Someone asked me about Sam Wilson and I answered them...Simple as that.

This has already been addressed a number of times so I'm not going to spend much more time on it. But for the record, I started making knives in the fall of 2013, which is easily verifiable. I took the order for this knife sometime around Nov/Dec of 2013. PayPal shows I refunded the person above (which is when I cancelled the deal) in March of 2015.

That person sent the money to me in December of 2014, and I had it for less than three months. I sent the refund before it was even asked for. As I said earlier, 14-15 months. Three years is a lie. (I haven't even been making knives for three years yet.)

I still have all three blades that I made in my possession, and none of them were sold to anyone. Also, the "design" being talked about is simply a very mild variation of the First Blood knife. Nothing new, original, or "stolen" there.

That should at least shine some light on the accuracy of the above post. Not going to do a line by line rebuttal, been done a million times. Sometimes when people don't get their toys they take it hard and blow it out of proportion.

This is nothing compared to the nasty emails sent directly to me over this. All over a toy.

No need for that. Nothing left to discuss, it's been covered and the deal never took place here anyway. Let's just get back on topic. Great thread, no need to derail it.

It was not hashed out a million times! And the emails sent was well deserved! And my records show that he and I started making plans for this knife in about October of 2012! Might not of been exactly 3 years as I went by the dated years. But even so, the length of time I waited and excuses for multiple missed deadlines were Beyond reasonable!

But For Once, I agree with Sam Wilson...this is a great thread!! No need to close it over a dishonorable knifemaker!! It is Squashed and time to move past it! I told my side...the Truth...And I feel 200 lbs lighter now!

But I will be the bigger man and take the heat for this and apologize greatly to Blade Forums Iffen I was out of line!
I love Blade Forums! People here on another thread has shown me extreme kindness and support.

Therefore, please Do Not Close This Thread On Account Of Me. I will not mention or speak about it anymore!

On a different note, has anyone ever heard of Wolfe Borger? I saw a few hollow handled First Blood knives made by him on Ebay! I never heard of him! I had thought about buying one of his knives. Does anyone know about his quality?

I would Love to meet Stallone! I heard they were going to make a television series of First Blood, but about Rambo's son!

If they do, I wonder if they will have a hollow handle knife in it!! I also wonder if they will use the Original Jimmy Lile knife in it?

I agree Tom, nice pic. Here is an older thread about hollow handle knives I made when I first started, http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...le-quot-Survival-quot-Knife-What-do-you-think .

That's back in September 2013 when I made my first knife and had never even spoken about making knives before. Not quite, but almost three years ago. Time sure flies. Some things have changed in how I make the knives, but it is an interesting read. Lots of good suggestions from experienced makers.

Any issues should be taken to tech support if you don't agree. As I said...stay on topic.

Amazing....I tell you stop and you just have to continue on. Wise up or you'll be leaving.

Sam, the thing I remember the most about your introduction is that crazy video of you doing chin ups on the handle of one of your knives. You had me at hello! :D

Amazing....I tell you stop and you just have to continue on. Wise up or you'll be leaving.

If you want to expell me from Blade Forums for simply defending myself and telling the truth...If that is what you wanna do then pls...go ahead! I don't come here much anymore anyway!

But I stand up for myself bro!! If that's not respected the do what you have to do I guess! Just let me know so that I'll know not to try coming here again!
